Assignments in Project Tasks - cut and paste or autofill option for more efficient task assignments.

Description -

It can take a lot of time to make assignments in a large project, especially if person has changed relative to template used.

It would be awesome to have a tool to make assignments more efficiently than a task by task approach.

 

How would you like the feature to work -

Easy cut and paste, or fill each task with an assignee or set of assignees

 

Current Behaviour -

click each task, start to type in assignees, go to next task, rinse and repeat.  tough if you have large project plans and need to reassign due to departure or other event.

    This may/may not help you, but I have built task filters based on the roles that I assign. Then I select the filtered role I want to assign/reassign and I bulk edit the assignments quickly that way.

    Thanks @denisemoore sounds like i need to understand "bulk edit".  thanks for responding. I am not sure i know how to bulk edit. will have to explore that.

    Agreed - just about anything to make task creation/assignment and timeline build out more automated would be a win.    I hear daily - "Workfront is too process Intensive for PMs"
