Allow screenshots in updates/comments

Please let us add screenshots to comments or updates, as in JIRA. These images do not need to be revision-controlled, like a document, but we need to be able to easily share images within the team, and would prefer to stop using email or OneNote for this purpose.

Yes this is desperately needed. If Workfront is to be a centralized place for communication and to eliminate e-mail, having the ability to add images, documents, videos, or any sort of reference item is must! I want to tell everyone to use WF instead of email, but not having this ability prevents us from communication efficiently.

And it would be great to have more HTML formatting options like tables and indenting etc

The need for this functionality came up last week in a Workfront feedback session/meeting I held. I told everyone in the meeting that I would try and find out more about where this stands on the road map. Has there been any movement yet / has timing been determined?

This would be a massive win for our users. Do we have an update on rollout? Thanks

We use the project queues as Customer Support interface, and it would be a HUGE improvement to the product to be able to add normal screenshots in comments and description (note from customers) in task/issues, as this is currently preventing a lot of customers to use the interface. They prefer to send a mail instead of having to save screenshots as pictures and upload them to the issue (request).

My company has been looking for this since before we even purchased Workfront. I just got another user inquiry today about not being able to add screen shots & images to updates/comments.

Any update on when this will be released?

yes, yes, yes, this will be huge improvement. Exchanging screenshots will speed up our communication. Uploading everything to documents area takes definitely more time

Hello! I am excited to let you know that we are going to begin working on this very soon. Our plan is to have it available second half of 2020. We look forward to seeing this capability improve the productivity of your teams. We'll keep this idea updated as we make progress towards a release.

This is a great idea. That way we don't have to send emails insetad of Workfront updates whenever there are images we need to share.

I am excited for this release as we have folks asking for it. As you progress towards implementation of this idea please consider the following:

  • Allow screenshots/images to be pasted into other custom text fields (or even a dedicated image field).
  • Allow screenshots/images to be pulled into custom reports/views so they can be shared in reports where sharecol is used etc.
