Agile in Workfront

Does anyone use the Agile methodology for marketing production type projects? I'm struggling to understand how a marketing asset project (for example a flyer) would be set up in WF Agile and how this type of work would be organized in into Sprints. Particularly when many projects are rush or have hard due dates.

Any insight that you can share would be greatly appreciated - Thank you!

Hi @jodiku

Great question. I would probably start by creating an Agile team in WF, create iterations (sprints are called iterations in WF), then add the exhaustive list of tasks needed to launch a flyer into the backlog of that team. Once you are done with the above steps, start having daily scrums, backlog review sessions to add the tasks in each sprint based on priority.

If you have sub tasks for each flyer that need to be tracked then I would recommend you create a project in WF (For e.g. Marketing Production 2025) > add each flyer as a parent task (For e.g. Monday Flyer, Tuesday Flyer, etc.) > add the activities that go into producing a flyer as subtasks (for e.g. Create Flyer Copy, Design Flyer, Strategy Review, Revision, Legal Approval, and so on). You need to assign these sub tasks to the agile team so that it starts flowing into their backlog. From there you can plan sprints by scheduling daily scrums, sprint planning and review meetings and backlog grooming.
