Adding Issue Comments/Updates

Hi all - is there any way to add comments / updates to Issues without using the Issue dialog? We largely manage project RAID logs from the Issues list and are looking for a quicker way to update status / add comments on issues during status meetings without opening the issue dialog for each one.
