Adding additional field to timesheets

Is there a way to customize some additional fields within a time sheet to classify the activity type when capturing worked hours. I would like to be able to have something like the below screen grab.

That would be nice.  There have been Ideas submitted in the forum to support custom fields (Data Extensions is what they call it) on the timesheet and hour objects.  Unfortunately, neither of those object types currently support DEs.

I invite you to consider our UberTimesheet solution as an alternative. In our most recent release, we added a "Hover for descriptions" (on Projects, Tasks, and Issues) feature to help users report time accurately which could accomplish something similar to your requirement; but if you prefer, we could add specific columns for your custom data of interest -- and could even hook them in to our existing Quick Filter feature to help users find and focus on only those items that match.
