Ability to "populate or copy request from" old request - feedback needed

Some of you might be familiar with the innovation lab request asking for the ability to "populate or copy request from" old request.

We are currently researching different approaches to address the problem described in this request. We would like to listen to your feedback on some of the ideas that we have as well as get your perspective on the behaviours that would arise as a result of introducing the functionality.
