Adobe Target

Hi,What is the purpose/use of integrating adobe target with adobe campaign?In document it is given that, "use adobe campaign to generate targeted email using data created in target". But same thing can be achieved only using adobe campaign right. (For example, sending different offers emails for male and female.)kindly give an example use case for the purpose for integrating adobe campaign with adobe target for better understanding.Thanks in advance,ParthaSarathy.

Have successfully deactivated an activity and yet still observing traffic.   I realize it may be a caching issue; however traffic still seems significant enough to ask this question of the Community.  Has anyone else encountered this issue and are there other steps that must be taken in order to successfully deactivate a Target Activity?Thanks!

Hey all,So I'm trying to wrap my head around the profile lifetime (set to 14 days by default), in another thread Adobe target visitor profile expiration - A/B test results​ a response from @mikewebguy who is Adobe staff says "If visitor cookie expiration is set to default 14 days on day 15 the visitor cookie is expired and the visitor is considered new and has the ability to re-qualify into whatever activity experience just like they did on day 1". What I don't understand is no cookie that is set by Adobe expires in 14 days (see image below), I was then told that if a client is using the Visitor ID service then target uses the AMCV cookie that has a 2 year expiry therefore regardless of what the profile lifetime is set in target the profile expiry will actually be 2 years.Could someone please clear this up for me, and if it is the case that the profile does expire in 14 days (unless changed), could you please highlight to me the cookie / session storage that is used to do this?Many tha

We’re running a Target experience targeting (XT) activity. We show 5 different hero images to 5 different audience based on industry. The default control version receives 2,336 avg daily visitors, but the industry specific experiences get much, much lower counts. We want to answer the question, how long does the XT need to run in order to hit statistical significance?I understand how to use the sample size calculator to estimate needed traffic volumes for A/B tests. For example, the Adobe based sample size calculator  https://is.gd/RY4XrtHowever, I don't think this calculator will work for audience based personalization when each audience gets a different number of avg daily visitors. The sample size calculator assumes that each offer gets an equal number of daily average visitors. Does anyone have any recommendations on the (best approach/tools) to determine how long the XT needs to run if the daily avg visits are different for each audience? Thank you!

Hi,I am using Redirect to create two version of the test as the new landing page.The problem is with the page name when I breakdown the Target Activity in Analytics it takes into account also the page name of the Control version from which the redirection is happening.The two version of the homepage in the test have different page name compared to the Control version.Any workaround to this?Thanks!-Rishi

I have been experimenting with Recommendations on our site for a while now but looking to move into Rec's within email. The part I am struggling with is if there is a way to determine the parameter to base Rec's on from offline information. Ex: I am marketing to a list of customers that have participated in events in Las Vegas, Denver, and Kansas City in the past and I want to send them a message with Recommended events based on their billing attribute instead of target calling up the device geo. How would I go about doing that?

I've added two links using VEC, I'd like to be able to track if either link was tracked as part of my test (main reason for the test is to see if we can get more clicks on this link).  So I've added the links in VEC and then in "Goals & Settings" I've set a conversion metric to "clicked on an element" and then I selected the two links.  Problem is I'm not seeing the link clicks being recorded.  I'm seeing page loads, but not link clicks, in the Experience Cloud Debugger, I'm seeing something fire when I follow a link, it's of "Request Type" "delivery", but I'm not seeing anything screams to me that a link click is being recorded.

I'm trying to incorporate Target into my clients emails and we're creating a campaign in Adobe Campaign Classic that serves up 3 different creatives based on the time. Creative A will be show leading up to the event, Creative B will be shown on the date of the event and Creative C will be shown after the event.How can we fully QA all the versions of the email prior to going live? I'd like to be able to verify that all versions of the email are displaying and functioning properly. Any tips or leads on how to do this would be most appreciated. Thank you,Martin

Hi All,There are certain PDF's being indexed by Search and Promote that do not have title in PDF properties set.So by default Search and Promote takes PDF file name as PDF title.Is there way to override PDF title with some custom metadata property in AEM and have search and promote use same or using index connector with feed having title and pdf url mapping to override search results.One way found is to use metadata injection and update title specifically for all PDF's before crawling begins.Any suggestions will help.

Hello, I am attempting to set up an A/B mobile test using Target VEC.  However, when I set the mobile URL in the Page Delivery settings (i.e. m.mywebsite.com), the VEC renders and defaults to the Desktop site.  I can confirm that I have set up mobile tests like this in the past using Target VEC and am wondering if others have come across this recently/functionality of the VEC has changed for mobile sites. Hi All,We are new to Recommendation. We have loaded the product feed into target and created form based recommendation activity for product detail page with criteria of most viewed product and builtin 4x1 html layout.We are trying to call the Target Recommendation mbox that we created different mbox for recommendation activity and called by getoffer() with the parameter (entity.id) using DTM page load rule.In staging mode we see in the response have details of recommendation activity, but it doesn't have recommended product data with html code.Could you please let me know what we are missing?Is it any issue with recommendation algorithm?Do we need to activate the test and wait for sometime to get the recommendation suggestion? also could please tell how to debug if everything is working fine?Thank you so much for your help.Regards,Muthu

We have noticed that a variant in a Target activity is very "sticky". Once a user sees a variant they can not get out of it, even when that variant is changed to zero percent in Target. We have tried clearing cookies and then closing the browser, and even then we see that zero percent variant experience. The only way we have found to solve this is to clone the activity and disable the old one. How is Adobe keeping track of the user after they clear cookies?Is there any way to actually turn off a variant once it has been seen without cloning the activity and disabling the old one?

Is there any OOTB option available in Adobe Target which enables me to create an audience consisting of Logged-in Users only without passing any custom variable as part of mbox call? I have implemented the ID Sync call (setCustomerId) on successful login and it is firing before Target call on the landing page after login. I'm looking for an OOTB option like we have for New/Returning VIsitors.Thanks!

I would  like to understand what is the ideal way to pull numbers for an A4T activity in workspace. Should we use visits or unique visitors?Does using visits against an A4T variable means total number of visits made my visitors? No matter they enter into the activity in all of their visits or not.Example: If there is a Z activity running on a X product page, and a visitor makes 2 visit on the website, 1 visit on the X product page and 1 visit when he did not visit the X product page. So in workspace, against Z activity, it will show 2 visits? or 1 visit?

HiI have a flow consisting of several steps with different kinds of input fields and buttons. On one of the steps i would like to test if pre-choosing one of the options and hide it for the customer, increases the conversion rate. Can this we set up as a test in target - and if how?/Henrik

Hi all,Currently working on setting up a client to be able to use Experience Fragments (XFs) via the AEM -> Target integration.  I've followed the instructions outlined in the documentation (link) and we are seeing the XFs show up in Offers within Target.  I can also view the XFs via the "Offer Delivery URL" listed under "Offer Info" for each XF in Target and they render correctly.The issue is that when I configure an Activity and use any of the XFs published to Target (replace or insert), the XFs contain all content except for text/copy.  It's completely missing from the HTML.  I still see all images, DIVs, etc, just no text coming through (confirmed viewing source code, so it's not just hidden by styling).  I've tried this for multiple XFs on various pages/placements and they all do the same thing.  I suspect it has something to do with how we are publishing the XFs, but I'm not sure.  Any ideas as to what we're doing wrong here?
