Adobe Target

Hello, I am currently doing POC to explore server side implementation of target for a website developed using AEM. I am calling Target Delivery API in sling model of the AEM components and using returned offers  to create different variations. Is there any recommended place where should be calling Target Delivery APIs ? The target calls are only made when the page is served from AEM but if the page is served from CDN then it wont make any Target server calls and wont show different variations. Is there anyway that target calls are made irrespective of the page served from AEM or CDN using server side implementation. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know If anything is not clear. Thanks,Saikiran.       

Is there any rationale behind not providing 'Then' operator in audience builder for Adobe Target? What should be the approach, if we want to target users who follow certain sequential path?

Afternoon Gurus,  We had a use case in our old recommendation tool which would amend the sort order of a search results page based on personal behaviour i.e. if I search for "Red Dress" and have previous interactions with items that would meet this the Search Results page would reorder to boost the products I had historical interactions with.(from their documentation rearranges a list of search results to a personalized order of sequence). Is there a mirror for this within Target? Or is there any thoughts on mimicing the behaviour? Thanks in Advance.

Hi Team, On our client's website, visitors don't login much . Orders/Bookings are done using phone number or Email Id. We could not use these in CRS as this a PII data . Can anyone advise how do we use the CRM data in such scenarios for the targeting purpose. Thank you.

Hi guys  I spend a lot of time in Adobe Target copy pasting code from my editor to the VEC. Is it possible to use GIT or FTP to upload the changes directly to Target?I tried remote offers but that does not work in the VEC.

I have also added the "Adobe Target VEC Helper" chrome extension into my browser but still, the page is not loading for me. I tried to log in with my credential in another colleague's laptop and it's working fine. Same issue in all other browsers on my laptop. How to resolve this issue?

Hello all,we are a European company and use the required cookie opt-in on our website. This currently means that Adobe Target is not loaded until cookies are accepted. In this form, Adobe Target cannot be used by new visitors to the website, for example during an AdWords campaign.Using the functions of Adobe Target does not in principle conflict with the GDPR. For example, an A/B test. If I alternately play variant A or B I do not need cookie approval.The problem is that Adobe Target always collects data. And at this point we need cookie approval. Is it possible to implement the target functions and target tracking independently of each other? In concrete practice it would look like this:1. Sser visits the website. Adobe Target is loaded as a technically necessary cookie, user automatically sees variant A or B.2. User is shown the cookie banner.3. User decides to accept all cookies. At this moment the Adobe Target data collection is activated and we can see test data in the Adobe Targe

I have a Target test that is behaving strangely. I have the test split 50% however the traffic is not allocating correctly.At first I thought it had something to do with the experience reporting wrong in A4T because we where on an older version of at.js. but this is not the case.Look forward to suggestions on where to look next?  

I'm a back-end developer very new to adobe target so would appreciate any help.So we have a site where you can run a search, this site calls our search api and in order to investigate how best to tweak our search algorithm we need to pass a new value in the search request to the search api which will come from an a/b test.We are going to have three scenarios,1) control: value of 02) variant 2 value of 603) variant 3 value of 40My question is really how to set this up as an A/B server side test?Do I create 3 experiences and have an mbox as the location in each experience and then modify the content of each experience to reflect the value needed? Or is it better one experience with 3 locations and an mbox with a different value in each location?At the time the search is run I will be writing code to query adobe target and get the mbox value.Also not sure how the activity urls come into play?

We have  a profile script that is using a random number to assign users to different experiences. The random number once assigned is persistent.  Example:Experience A - Targeting =  random number less than 10Experience B - Targeting = random number greater than 10 When I check segment comparison in Analytics using A4T variable (Target Activity > Experience) I can see some slight visitor overlap (less than 1%) between the two experiences. How is it possible for a single visitor (ecid)  to go into both experience when the definitions are mutually exclusive?  Can anyone think of a scenario where this could happen? I am wondering if it's something to do with clearing cookies ? And specifying Target cookies vs. Analytics?

From my website, I have a link to a PDF file. When the user clicks the link I want the PDF to open in Bluebeam Revu and not Adobe Acrobat.Is it possible to suggest a target application?

Hi experts,I have created audience using vistor profile. Which will get the input from target profile parameters which is passed via launch target page load rule, order of execution are maintained. Even though everything is perfect I'm facing inconsistency in content delivery.My scenario is to capture audience who is logged in at least one time. If user logged in one time then this profile will be under logged in user. For more some time I got activity working if I refresh activity content not delivering.I hope problem would be in vistor profile they're not persist users I believe.Any solution? Thanks

Hello,I'm wondering whether it's possible to pause a Target activity, let's say for 2 weeks and continue it afterwards? Will the test continue without problems after a pause or should I take something special into account?Thanks for your help in advance,Jenni

Has anyone implemented Adobe Target for mobile Apps? I tried to use android studio and bus app shared on Adobe help page to create a poc but it's showing some bug. Please share any doc or relevant link for the same.

How do you get "clicked an mbox"  to work? What does "clicked an mbox" do compared to "viewed an mbox"? I've been adding my own click listener to the elements I want to track. The event listeners call trackEvents(), which sends the conversion mbox along with some parameters. This set up works with "viewed an mbox", but I want to know why it doesn't work with "clicked an mbox" . Is there some kind of set up in the DOM with the mbox name that I need to do?I've already looked at the click tracking and goal setting documentation, but it doesn't mention " clicked an mbox"  at all. In fact, I couldn't find any documentation on the internet about this "clicked an mbox" goal. Everyone else seems to have "clicked an element" as a goal, but I don't see it in my instance of Adobe Target. 

How does Target determine the order of products to show in a product recommendation placement when using "Popularity" as the recommendation key? I am using 2 weeks of mbox purchase behavior. Also, do the products get re-ordered and shown randomly on subsequent page visits where the same placement is located? 

Our website has two languages and the URLs are the exact same for both. Is there a way to establish an audience to ensure the tests in one language don't break the site on the other language? E.g. if I edit a label on the English site the edited version will be in English on the French site too. We can't rely on browser language, because that might be different than the site language. Any insights greatly appreciated. I have a usecase where audience/segment is getting created in Target from an external system(eg salesforce).Now lets say segments is created in traget using target APIs.Next step would be to use this audience and create activity to assign some experience for these.What I am unable to get is how on Page would Target decide that user qualifies for this imported segment ?for example let Audience definition be like (all visitors who have a flag set to "high value customers" in salesforce. We inject this audience in Target via APIs and create activity and create experience for this.How on page would target know that this visitor has the flag set as high value customer? Thanks for replies in advance!

Hello, I'm running into an interesting issue that I was wondering if others have had.  In our implementation, when we have Adobe Target library load & page load request fire, we've noticed an issue where the Adobe Analytics tracking server gets reset to the default “[rsid].112.2o7.net" value, even though it is set in the Experience Cloud ID extension & Adobe Analytics extension.  When this happens (primarily for new visitors who haven't had a mid set for them yet), it results in most of the page view data being unspecified in the beacon.  It appears to be a timing issue of some sort that is resolved when using "Send s.t() beacon" action, but with that approach, we are not able to capture some data that we need to wait for in data elements.Has anybody encountered a similar issue? Thanks!

Hi, we have a peculiar situation where the site menu requests S&P for all menu categories and the response values for a facet category field is cut of at 100 values, eg a bunch of categories will display as containing 0 items when drilling down. Is this a known limitation in S&P?
