GoToWebinar (GTW) FailedAPI Error

Issue

You see the following error when trying to Refresh From Webinar Provider in an Event Program linked to GoToWebinar: "FailedAPI Error: Authentication succeeded, but access to the requested resource is denied."

Solution

Check LaunchPoint to see if the integration between Marketo and GTW is broken.

  1. Go to Admin > LaunchPoint to see the integration between GTW and Marketo.
  2. If you see the error "FailedAPI Error: Authentication succeeded, but access to the requested resource is denied," this is a permission issue with GTW.
  3. Check with GTW Support to see why requesting resource is being denied.

Hello

There has been changes from GTW and an email has been sent.

I don't understand yet what has to be done into Marketo, but here is a copy of the email. Maybe it will help you.

We're happy to announce that on January 31, 2017, the GoTo business of Citrix (which includes GoToMeeting, GoToWebinar, GoToTraining, GoToMyPC, GoToAssist, OpenVoice and Grasshopper) separated from Citrix Systems, Inc. and merged with LogMeIn, Inc. Please see here for more details.

As part of the merger, we're updating our products to take advantage of our new combined SaaS capabilities while moving off of legacy Citrix capabilities. In order to realize the advantages, there are some actions you may need to take. We have provided a helpful summary below for your reference. Some may require you to take action immediately.

Actions required for Account Administrators:

If you are in a restricted or locked-down environment, you need to take action to ensure the products continue to work seamlessly for account users:

  • The publisher, domain names and code-signing certificates used by our products are changing. Depending on your environment you may need to make changes to these items by June 1, 2017.
  • The Launcher app that assists our product software will be replaced by a new Opener app. Depending on your environment, you may need to distribute the new Opener app to your users by July 31, 2017.
  • If you used the Developer Portal to set up an API integration with your GoTo product, then you will need to update the integration with the new base URL by December 4, 2017.
  • The domain and entity ID used for SAML integration is changing. If your organization uses SSO, changes will be required. More information on this migration will be communicated soon.

Please our FAQs for details about actions required.

Our number one priority is delivering great service and a best-in-class experience to you, our valued customer. If you have any questions, please contact Customer Care: https://care.citrixonline.com/.

We greatly value you as a customer and appreciate the opportunity to serve you!

Thanks Stephanie for the update. I would have to see if the new changes from GTW would have any effect on the integration between the two.
