Prevent Salesforce to sync back Marketo-deleted records

Hi community,

I want to delete a bunch of records from Marketo only which are synced to Salesforce. These records are being updated (weekly) by SF counting the days they have not been active.

So if I delete these records from Marketo, I'm afraid that this weekly update will bring them back to Marketo.

Is there a way to avoid this?

Thanks,

Raul

An update on the record in SFDC will cause it to sync back to Marketo as a new Person with SFDC as source.

You can either update the Marketo sync user's permission so that those deleted records are not visible to it, or you can set up a custom sync filter which'll allow you to choose if you want to sync a SFDC record to Marketo or not.
