Adobe Marketo Engage General

Hi,In the pref center form in Marketo, there are 22 different client interests (like events, webinars, newsletters…..) which is in checkbox(boolean). Inorder to make it bidirectional, we tried the normal procedure which is creating 22 sfdc custom fields and mapping it with marketo for bidirectional flow)Is there any other way other than this approach (instead of creation 22 individual custom fields), kindly share your thoughts. Thanks!

We have a large number of emails that we’d like to archive or unapprove to avoid accidental sends. Is there functionality in Marketo to do that?  Also, is there functionality to set emails to expire approval after a particular period of time or can you use a workflow to do that?  Thanks in advance for any insights!

Is there a way to use Send time optimization in Marketo?

We have had a Chrome problem for a while and are trying to get to the bottom of it. Most people do not have issues, but for some employees (and not all the time) there is an issue with embedded Marketo forms not displaying. We are concerned this is happening with others as well so are trying to dig in further. It is only Chrome that has the problem. The page is: https://ontic.co/demo-request/ although other pages with Marketo forms also have the same issue (when someone is having this problem). Here’s the console errors when this is happening. From a Gemini search, one of the suggestions is that we need to:update the Access-Control-Allow-Private-Network: true header added to the preflight (OPTIONS) response for our instance in the CNAME. Because go.ontic.co is managed by Marketo's infrastructure, you often have to reach out to their technical support. They recently updated their infrastructure to handle this for many customers, but older instances or specific CNAME setups sometimes get

Hi Team,We have a requirement where a field is currently not available in our CRM as a temporary solution which will be fixed in long term. To support this, we will be receiving an Excel file containing Marketo ID, dollar amount, and revenue for each record. The goal is to use this data within our emails.I’d like to better understand the feasible approach here, as we want to avoid creating new records and instead leverage existing ones and update them. Specifically, I have two questions: Displaying Excel-based values in emails Is it possible to take values such as dollar amount directly from the Excel file and display them in an email? If so, what would be the recommended approach? Applying calculations (e.g., 10% of revenue) We also need to display a calculated value—specifically, 10% of the revenue provided in the file (e.g., if revenue is 5,000, the email should display 500). Is there a way to handle this dynamically within Marketo, or would this need to be pre-calculated before i

I have a couple of email templates in my instance, within design studio, that appear with all the options greyed out - I am unable to preview, edit or clone these templates.Although I am still able to create an email using these particular templates, once I do so I am also unable to select the modules tab in the email editor.  I was wondering if anyone has come across this previously, or might know why this could occur?

Hi Experts,This is my first question in the Marketo Forum so looking forward to get some feedback. We have Marketo system with a backend of SAP Sales Cloud as CRM, everything is working pretty smoothly, We have persons, companies and opportunites replicated to Marketo. We want to start TAM for Account based marketing but we are unable to see the opportunity information even though Person has opportunity information and is linked to a Company which is one of the account in our new named account. What am I missiog here?Looking forward to get some answer!  CheersDhruvin

Hello Everyone, Quick question -Salesforce team is currently working on a Contact Object cleanup project, as part of which they are planning to change the data types of some fields (no changes on the field API’s).The Data type change includes Picklist  → Multi picklistText field  → Text areaWhether there will be any impact to existing Marketo integrations? Please share your thoughts. Thanks in Advance!

Hi Team , Problem Statement :I’m trying to create interaction buckets in Marketo based on the most recent engagement (email open or click) so we can segment audiences based on how recently they interacted with our emails. The buckets I’m aiming to build are:0–30 days, 31–60, 61–90, 91–120, 121–150, 151–180, 181–210, 211–240, and 241–540 days. The goal is to identify how long it has been since a contact last engaged with us and use these segments for follow-up or re-engagement email campaigns. Current Approach :I created filters using email open and click activities within specific date ranges. However, I’ve noticed some inconsistencies. For example, some records that opened or clicked within the last 30 days are appearing in the 121–150 day bucket. This makes me think I might not be structuring the activity filters or AND/OR logic correctly, or that multiple open/click activities may be affecting the results. What I’m Considering :I have creating a custom field called “Interaction Bucket

I’m trying use velocity scripting to hide an Image placeholder when the Img Src is not populated. The Img Src that populated the image is referencing a PMCF Field. So IF the PMCF field is not generated via API, I want to be able to hide the image placeholder in Marketo is no longer visible when sent a sample.I tried using the below but still fairly new to velocity script. If someone can help, it’d be much appreciated:  #set( $imageUrl = ${member.PMCF_String02} ) #if( !$imageUrl || $imageUrl.trim() == "" ) ## Do nothing (the section will be hidden) #else<div><img height="auto" width="150" src="{{member.PMCF_String02}}"</div> #end

HiIn a Smart Campaign with a trigger like “Email is Delivered,” can I use the Program name instead of the email name so that I can reference all the emails in the program without having to add each email individually?  Would that work?

Can anyone tell me what the 8% metric in the gray area of the CTO graphic is measuring? Same with the 1.6% gray area in the Clicks graphic.

Hi Community,We're experiencing an issue in one of our lead scoring campaigns in Marketo. The flow is set up as: Change Status > Wait 5 minutes > Change Score. Most leads follow this correctly, but a few records are skipping the wait step entirely. They enter the campaign, the status changes, and their score updates within seconds - no delay observed.I already reviewed there's no racing conditions. No one updated the campaign in between. I am assuming this can be a priority issue.Has anyone seen this before? What could be the possible reasons? Any insights, troubleshooting tips, or solutions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hi! I'm trying to add Gmail Annotation into a token via email script and haven't had much luck finding any examples.I've added this script and token to the <head> of my email template, but I don't know what to add to the Email Script Token. Sanford W had mentioned a Velocity Token, which I have researched, but haven't found any documentation on. https://nation.marketo.com/t5/product-discussions/has-anyone-been-successful-in-adding-gmail-annotation-to-a/td-p/315669 Can someone please assist? Script added to the email template:  <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN"> <html>   <head>     <script type="application/ld+json">    {{my.Gmail Annotation}}     </script>   </head> Gmail Annotation script added to Email Script token which needs to be converted to Velocity Token:    [{            "@context": "http://schema.org/",   &

Hi everyone,I’m encountering an issue related to “Registered Error” statuses in a Marketo webinar program. For one of our webinars, we see about 60 members with the status Registered Error in the Program Members tab. Most of these records were originally marked as Registered but later moved to Registered Error after Salesforce created duplicate records and merged them. The total number of registrants coming from Marketo aligns correctly with Adobe Connect data. However, when I try to pull these same members using a Smart List with the filter Member of Program → Status: Registered Error, only a small portion of those records appear. Many of the individuals shown in the Program Members tab are missing from the Smart List results. We need to locate these members to update their status to No Show, since they did not attend the webinar.Has anyone experienced this behavior before, and were you able to find a solution or workaround? Thanks in advance for any insights!

Hi all,  I have a bit of an urgent question so would appreciate a quick response.  We’re creating emails for AJO B2B and there is no option to add mirror links in email templates. How can we add mirror links in AJO B2B emails? Thanks

Hi Team,Till yesterday I was able to see the programs which are created either by me or by my colleagues from today onwards I am unable to see any programs please help to resolve this issueThanks in advance

Hi Marketo Community 👋I'm running into an issue with SSL certificate provisioning for a custom landing page domain in Marketo Engage and would love some guidance from anyone who has experienced something similar.*Setup:*• We recently changed our primary landing page domain to a new custom subdomain• The CNAME is correctly configured and fully propagated globally, pointing to our Marketo instance • Our Marketo instance is on Adobe Experience Cloud*The Issue:*The SSL certificate is not provisioning for the new domain. In Marketo Admin > Landing Pages, the SSL Certificate field is showing as `-`.When we tried to set up the domain, we received a warning saying *"SSL certificate has already been issued"* — suggesting a pre-existing SSL certificate exists on Marketo's servers for this domain but isn't being connected automatically.*What We've Already Tried:*• Checked the "Generate SSL Certificate" checkbox when saving domain settings — SSL still shows as `-`• Used the "Add SSL" option in

We deal with students coming into our chat and like to “prank” us. Is there a way to block them from chatting back in besides taking them as a oneoff and adding them to a smart list. Also is there a way to upload canned responses that our agents can quickly select when they are in a conversation?

Hi Marketo Community,What’s the best way to build a lifecycle program in Marketo while minimizing the number of trigger campaigns and overall operational effort?Currently, we’re using two trigger campaigns for each stage: The first trigger adds the person to a list. The second trigger listens for “Person added to list” and then processes the lifecycle stage change. Is there a more efficient or streamlined approach that reduces the number of triggers while keeping the lifecycle logic clean and manageable?Would love to hear how others are handling this.

Hi everyone! I’m playing around with the new email editor and trying to create a test template. It’s not letting me bold (or italicize, etc) specific words...it just bolds the entire text block. It’s the same in paragraph, h1, h2, etc stylings. Is this intentional or a bug? Or is that something you can only do at an email asset level? Thanks!

I have a client that is letting me know that the sync between Marketo engage and SFDC reports some errors leaving the leads with empty fields on SFDC, so she's unable to assign them to the sales team. What I don’t understand is how is it possible the leads get synced in SFDC when those fields are marked as mandatory to fill on the forms on LPs in Marketo. Anyone experienced any similar discrepancy in this process?

We have an operation program, sending confirmation email having confirmation link redirecting to Marketo Landing page. But for some people (~30), we have visit webpage activity registered in the activity log but no link click activity. And I’m not sure what could be the reason! For that I had to add both the triggers in data change campaign- confirmation link clicked and thankyou landing page visited. But we are planning to move from Marketo’s LP to external one, hence, afraid of removing visit webpage trigger from the campaign. (want to rely on clicked link trigger only ) Sharing some screenshots for example-  -link click is there for some but the link is Instagram link (or some other) not the landing page link  Do share if you have any idea that can help. Thanks!

Is it even possible? You need to buy Marketo with AJO B2B?In documentation there is a sentence like:Adobe Journey Optimizer B2B Edition uses Account Audiences and People Audiences from Adobe Experience Platform to power an account journey, which runs inside of Marketo Engage https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/journey-optimizer-b2b/user/get-started/about-journey-optimizer-b2b-edition
