Adobe Marketo Engage General

Hi all! I want to know if it is possible to view a list of names of people who visited our website by searching a specific keyword. Is there a way to tie data between the SEO module and web page activity reports to do this? Or another method?

When I click on "View In Browser" link in the email it failed to show personalized content. Is there any solution or Marketo limitation?

Hi Everybody,We have been using programmatic form POSTs to the leadCapture/save and leadCapture/save2 endpoints method in our custom form (where front end fields are different from original Marketo form fields in the form) on our website. As this method is being deprecated we are moving our forms to Forms 2.0 API method, therefore we have encountered a situation where we have to create a new Marketo form against each custom form where a different field has been used. Is there a scalable method through which we can use a single Marketo form in multiple places on our website with different fields?   Thanks

Hi,  I have set my form to german but I don't know how to change the values in the drop-down in the "Industrie"-field (The stored and the displayed value are the same). Does that mean I have to change it manually? They are quite a few fields so I was hoping there is another way. Anyone can help out?

Segmentation is a powerful way to enhance your reporting in the Discover Dashboard so it’s crucial to set this up with your organization’s reporting goals in mind.    First, let’s quickly define Segmentation in Marketo Measure's world. Segmentation allows you to create different data categories to then use as a filter in the Discover Dashboard. For example, you could have a Segmentation of Industry with Segment values such as Healthcare, Automotive, Tech, Manufacturing, etc.    Note that Segmentation logic can be built based on fields you have defined at the top & bottom of the funnel: Top of the Funnel Either the CRM Lead or CRM Contact object (must pick one) The Buyer Touchpoint (BT) object Bottom of the Funnel The CRM Account object The CRM Opportunity The Buyer Attribution Touchpoint (BAT)   More information on the mechanics can be found here.   To decide which Segmentation categories you should build in Marketo Measure, consider what you c

Hi, We are trying to get the details of users who have submitted the Marketo form via API. Can anyone here let us know how we can get this data.

Welcome back to the Marketo Success Series! In this series, we partner with Marketo Champions and Champion Alumni to fully explore how some of our most celebrated Marketo experts are using Marketo Engage to drive success. In this edition, we teamed up with Champion @julz_james to discuss why you should use lead scoring, how it works, how to set it up, and more!   Lead scoring is one of the most important aspects of using a marketing automation system like Marketo Engage. Not only do you want to be able to send out communications, event invites, and report and track the activity of your database, you also want to be able to weed out who are the most engaged leads with your database. The more engaged the lead, the more qualified they will be to pass along to sales, who can then connect with the lead.    When a lead becomes so engaged with the marketing activities that are being presented to them, interacting with the website or with social channels, their sco

Champion Tips and Tricks with Kimberly Galitz In this edition of the Champion Tips and Tricks series, we asked Marketo Champion @kimberly_galit1  to share her top tips for Basic Field Management in Marketo Engage.     Let us know what you think in the comments below!   Remapping blog post referenced in the video above: https://nation.marketo.com/t5/knowledgebase/re-mapping-sfdc-marketo-fields/ta-p/299284

I have a quick question in regards to the SFDC instance connection. We have 2 marketing platforms  Salesforce marketing cloud & Marketo & the question is can SDFC (production) be connected with Marketo (production) &  Salesforce marketing cloud (production) at the same time?

Please note that this issue may or may not be related to my previous ticket: Marketo Landing Pages stuck on Please WaitI have embedded Marketo forms on various webpages. For example—This Page When a user tries to submit this embedded form, the form gets stuck on "Please Wait" and the Thank You page never appears. As was the case in my previous ticket, I had some antiquated javascript to track form fills in GA. I deleted that code, published the page, and unfortunately the page still gets stuck. I also cleaned up my GTM instance of extraneous tags, but no help either. The silver lining is that the form data properly posts to Marketo and SFDC. In case some tech bits are needed:we tried this on a few different machines, all using Windows and on Chrome and Firefox browsersthis portion of our website is built on Drupal 7one user was tethered into our network, and another user was using the VPN to connect to the network What could be causing embedded forms to send data but not show users our

I am currently setting up my first integration in Marketo (not the first for our instance but the first one I have personally set up). When setting up a new API integration - do I need to create a new role for each API integration that I set up? Or is there one general API role that is set up that can be used across multiple integrations when setting up under "launch point"    The developer documentation is confusing. Thanks in advance!

can we create email and country as a unique key in Marketo? We have done first name and email earlier but want to check the possibility with the country or any other field. also, can we create 3 attributes as the joint key or its restricted to just two?

Hi   Are there solutions / examples that use 2 column designs with flex-box?   I saw floats are used which are  a bit rusty. Did someone by any chance lay the ground work for a flex version?   or - is there a reason floats are used and flex box should not be used?

Hey there,    I'm planning some extensive A/B testing in 2020 and considering the benefits of setting up AB tests in an Email Program vs. a Smart Campaign.    We are leaning towards setting up AB tests through Email Programs, as the functionality/flow is a bit more user-friendly.    However: I was wondering if there is an easy way to pull vanity & performance metrics (ie. Open Rate, CTR, Bounce Rate, etc) for emails that are run through an AB test through Email Programs -- for each email/factor we're testing. The dashboard for the post mortem AB test from an Email Program is extremely helpful, but when you export the "raw data", it's quite confusing and hard to interpret (see sample below):    For the purposes of ongoing reporting to other teams, it's important for us to be able to share out these core metrics (like open rates, CTR, etc.).   I know that you can pull performance by setting up an Email Performance Report, but this does no

Hi all,Our sales team uses the Marketo Send and Track feature to track Sales Emails through Marketo. They often include a link to their Outlook Bookings calendar, so people can schedule a phone call with them. We've just noticed that the Send and Track feature, when it adds Marketo tracking script to this link, breaks the link. Does anyone know why this would be and how to remedy this? Or is it possible to not track a specific individual link in an Outlook email sent through Send and Track?FYI, this is what the Outlook Booking link looks like:outlook.office365.com/owa/calendar/examplecalendar@ourdomain.onmicrosoft.com/bookings/?mkt_tok=etcetcetcIf you remove the mkt_tok parameters it works fine, but with it the link returns a Bad Request error.Any advice gratefully received!James

I am a beginner to Marketo. There are a lot of things to learn and catch up.  Could someone help answer my questions as detailed as you can. Thank you advance.    if we import a lead to Marketo and we have his email , name and some basic info. After one month, this lead comes to our website and accept the cookies, will we able to track his web visit behaviors? How Marketo associate these behaviors with this lead? Could someone explain the mechanism behind ?   The second scenario is  when visitor first time enter our website and Marketo will create an anonymous activity and when this visitor fill out a Marketo form. This visitor would be merged to a known person in Marketo. I want to know how Marketo identify it? Is it done by sourcing the IP address to match between web visit and form info.

Our problem: The business team wanted to send emails from within Dynamics CRM through Marketo with a personalized signature from the individual sending the email appended. The problem we faced was that the person clicking the send button in Dynamics CRM may not always be the owner of the contact record, so we could not build the signature in Marketo using synced lead data.   Our Solution: After looking at some inefficient complex solutions using Marketo’s API to write a custom email process and the built-in MSI (Marketo Sales Insights) functionality in Microsoft Dynamics CRM, we opted for MSI with our own “hack” to add the signatures. After some investigating, we found that in the JavaScript file sendMarketoEmail.js, there is a function loadEmailTemplateSuccess which passes the HTML template retrieved from Marketo into the Marketo HTML editor in Dynamics. Here is where we decided to place our web service call and pass the current Dynamics user and the HTML template. Then, within o

All of our landing pages render fine within the Marketo editor, but when viewing the approved pages or preview links, they render as if without a stylesheet. This happens for any and all landing pages. I've attached screenshots of an example of the same page rendering correctly in the editor and wonky in a preview link. Has this happened to anyone else?Source image file 213583 not availableSource image file 213593 not available

Hello I would like some assistance in understanding all considerations and best practices that we need to account for as we go through a website domain migration.   We have used Marketo primarily on www.passageways.com and have a new website active onsembleintranet.com. In the coming months we will have another website bringing the total websites on this instance of Marketo at 3. What will this entail?   3 Websites 3 email domains 3 Brands 2 Teams 3 Regions   I would like to understand what we need to account for through this transformation on the following accounts. Also what else is there that I am not thinking of? Installing Websites into Marketo? Best Practices for Databases? Best Practices for Subscription Centers? Implications on current lead scoring? Email Deliverability testing for all 3 domains? Design Studio Considerations for all 3 brands Testing and QA of Staging websites before brand launch.Hoping that someone can help me piece together the various aspect

My favorite part of Velocity training sessions — though surely students’ least favorite! — is challenging someone to explain why something worked, as opposed to why something fails fatally. It’s easy to barrel through Velocity without realizing the complex stuff happening under the hood. If Velocity doesn’t scream when you try a certain method, you don’t think twice about why it works, you’re just happy it did. But when you pay attention to Velocity/Java datatypes (as you must if you’re going to write reliable code) and double-check the Java docs, things can seem... kinda screwy. Like they shouldn’t work, even though they do. But why?   For example... Take a String field Sports Interests. Populated via a Checkboxes field on a form, it holds a semicolon-delimited list. Here’s the value for our test lead:   Our upcoming webinar features a special guest appearance by a beach volleyball legend, so we’re going to add special

Has anybody ever wondered why you can set communication limits and then choose to set "Block non-operational emails" to no? This combination makes no sense, as it would result in absolutely nothing being done to enforce the communication limits. Would it make sense to remove this choice?
