Why does Chrome's Find work so poorly in Template Editor?

I'm trying to edit a template and the Find feature really performs poorly.  It doesn't look like it's working right ever.  Anyone know why it only returns results that are on the portion of the screen that's displayed at that moment?

Are you in V2? If so, there is a known bug. Vote here:
