Is it possible to track the confirmation of a webinar registration through the Activity log?

I am working on a issue where an attendee had signed up for a webinar through our website by filling out the registration form. The participant states they never recieved a confirmation of the registration that included the webinar link to attend. After the live webinar had passed they recieved a follow-up email with a "sorry we missed you" message and a link for the recorded version.

The activity log shows the participant had completed the sign up form and also recieved the "sorry we missed you" message but does not state if they recieved the confirmation email.

I checked this same instance with a previous webinar on a particpant who successfully recieved all the required information and thier activity log is identical to the participant who wasnt able to attend.

Is there a way to verify someone has recieved the confirmation?

You'll never be 100% sure they received the email.

You can filter by Email is Delivered to see whose server provided Marketo with a clear response. Then you can look at Opens and Clicks to find people who almost certainly received it and did something about it.

BUT, going beyond that - to make sure that the Confirmation Email went out, please check the Confirmation flow in your Program>Results and look for that person's name. That will tell you if it went out. 

It is possible the email disappeared into the Spam filter as well.

What I usually do is have a series of Progression Campaigns listening for other statuses:

Send - this gets done after the email is sent
01 - Delivered - confirms delivery
02 - Opens
03 - Clicked
04 et.c....

Are you having the webinar program send out the confirmations or are you sending them through Marketo?

If you're sending through the program, it's not possible to track whoever you're using provides that type of reporting. Ideally, you'll want to use the webinar url token and send the emails through marketo. 

If you did send through marketo, you should be able to run a simple email deliverability report that will demonstrate who received the email. If you're looking for specific names, use a smart list and select "was delivered email" with the confirmation email.
