Staff Announcement Email Best Practices

Hi all,

My team and I are redesigning an email template that we use to announce when a new physician joins our hospital (the audience is medical professionals). Have any of you had any success with any announcement-style templates, or have links to best practices? Would love to see some examples and we begin re-imagining what we do.
