Hi, we are considering seting up a public portal where anyone of our leads can quickly check whether they are subscribed/unsubscribed. Anyone has experience setting this up?

Hi Abdallah,

You could create one as a landing page that has the subscription fields as either tokens or a pre-filled form on the page. This way, if a lead goes to the page, the form/tokens will prepopulate with the values that are against the subscription fields on that lead's record and they will be able to see what they are subscribed to.

Just note that this will only work if they are cookied and form pre-fill is enabled for the form option. I would personally go down the pre-filled form route as you can also use it to allow leads to subscribe to receive communications.

Do you mean an email subscription management page?

If so, then yes. Lots of material out there. Here's a good place to start:

If you meant a way to look at their product details, then you should do that via your product.

@Josh - thanks for the document. I was more looking for a simple portal where anyone can check their email subscription status. We do have the settings in our product but I wanted anyone to have the ability to quickly check their email status.

Abdallah,

If you search the Community for "subscription management" you can see some options. The document I provided should have several examples.
  • Page
  • Form
    • place fields as Natali suggests with prefill set to ON
  • TY Page
    • this confirms the changes and uses tokens to display the settings. You may need javascript to change T/F to something for humans.
  • if the settings come from your product, make sure they are in Marketo or you use the API to bring them in.

@Josh - thanks!

@Natali - I like your suggestion. I will give it a try since I am looking for a very simple page where leads can check their status if desired.
