Required fields for leads syncing from SFDC to Marketo?

Does anyone know where can I find the fields that are required to have information filled out so leads in Salesforce can sync into Marketo? Or are there standard fields across the board that everyone just knows are required and I maybe forgot?

Hi Bonnie,

The 2 required fields by default to insert a lead in SFDC are:

  • Last name
  • Company name

But your SFDC customization may require more. See to it with you SFDC admin. You can also look at the activity log of the lead which insert update failed and search for the SFDC sync errors. It will tell ou a little bit more (such as violated validation rule).
