Question: Replacing an in use Snippet with a new Snippet

We have a series of Address Footer Snippets in use, the address for one of these Snippets has changed, for this example the Snippet is named "APAC Address".

My question is if I create a new Snippet with the proper address info can I rename the original Snippet to something else "APAC Address - Old" for example, and then rename my new Snippet "APAC Address" will this update all the assets that are using the Snippet with the updated info?

Thanks in advance for any help

Hi Daniel,

Creating a new snippet and giving it the name of the old one, after renaming the old one is... Useless.

Snippets are made to be updated easily, and to update easily all assets using them. In other terms, they are made to cover the exact use case you have here. So simply enter your new address into the existing snippet, approve it without generating drafts for all assets using it (this is an option that requires to be an admin or have a special right) and you will be done.
