Marketo Showing SFDC User ID Instead of User Name

We have a few fields in SFDC that point to individual SFDC users (similar to account owner, lead/contact owner). These fields are synched to Marketo, but Marketo only displays the user ID instead of the actual name. How can we get Marketo to show the name instead of the user ID? Is this a configuration setting on the Salesforce side, or Marketo?

I think its more than likely because your lookup field on a Lead, Contact, Account, and/or Object is referencing another Salesforce object in the system.

You can create a new custom field and choose type as "formula". Now you can run a relationship query and ask name instead of ID.
