Marketo form submissions

Hello All,

Quick ask on lead form submissions/issues.

I had created a marketo form and embedded this form on a marketo landing page which captures form submissions for an event.

Some of the leads that have apparently filled out these forms are not to be found in the marketo database. But there are records of these in the MSD 365 CRM.

Also, the sales owner has received an alert notification for these form submissions from these leads.

How is it that these registrants have filled out the form successfully but their records are not in marketo but present in CRM?

Please advise how I can troubleshoot this?

Thanks in advance

Surely you have the correct intuition to assume that a person who submits a Marketo form necessarily needs to become a Marketo database person after that submission.

What does a Smart List with the filter "Filled out form = YOUR-EVENT-FORM" say? These alerts you speak of: The Smart Campaign that sends these alerts, what does it have in its results tab?

Could it be you're just looking in the wrong place, like in a different partition from the one your landing page, form and Smart Campaign live in?

Is it remotely possible that you have a trigger campaign connected to that form submit that deletes a person after the form is submitted and the alert is sent?

I'd certainly leave Dynamics out of the equation at this point. That shouldn't be related.

Hey Michael,

Just checked the smart campaign that sends alerts out. The results tab here have these emails addresses that is missing from the data list extracted from the filled out form smart campaign. This is strange for me

The Partition I believe is correct, they are housed under a single Default partition

The trigger campaign that tracks form submissions is fairly straight forward:

And the flow steps have nothing that might result in deleting a person, we are just changing data values and adding some score to the lead that fills out the form.

Thanks

Well, if you see email addresses in the results tab of your alert sending Smart Campaign, that means these email addresses exist in your database. And you should see these people by either using a Smart List with a filter on your form and page or by just looking them up your database. Or by clicking on the person record from the results tab. But they are certainly there.

So probably the question would be: Where exactly do you not find them? 😉
