Mapping a Custom Dynamics Field to a Standard Marketo Field

As the title says, we're discussing mapping a custom field created in Dynamics "Industry (l)" to "Industry" which is a standard field in Marketo.

If this is at all possible I know we'd have to get Marketo support to undertake the task, but is this something that is achievable?

We're trying to work around the reality that Marketo fields can't map directly to Dynamics Look Up Fields and we have the Dynamics side coding built to write the Look up field value to "Industry (l)"
