Hello,We will be syncing an SFDC Custom Object that is connected to both Lead and Contact in SFDC.In Marketo, I think we'll need to select the table on both the Lead and Contact objects in order to sync, and it will appear in Marketo as two separate COs. Is this correct?And based on that, we will need to use 2 filters to capture CO records for both Leads and Contacts. Please let me know if my understanding is correct. Thank you!

By default in our Salesforce org, the 'notify user' checkbox is unchecked when you go to reassign a Contact to another user, but when Contacts are reassigned via Marketo, users are being notified.  Is there anywhere in the sync set up where we can disable these notifications?  I can see that there is an option to uncheck the trigger email notification for Leads being assigned, but would this apply to Contacts as well?   

I've sent three invitation emails to leads and need to track which email they came from when they filled out the form. Even though all emails have the same tracking parameters and we haven't excluded those who already registered for the event in later invites, I'm looking for other ways to figure out which email led to the form fills. Since we can't rely on parameters and exclusion alone, I'm seeking alternative methods to identify the source of form fills. #analytics #email #utmparameter

Or will it only suppress those who were qualified in the 2024 Registrant Smart List at the time of scheduling the batch campaign?

With Marketo dynamic content, you can customize how different people see a landing page or email. Segmentation is the basis on which you can customize this dynamic content.   Segmentation categorizes your audience into different subgroups based on a Smart List rule. These groups are called segments.   For example, if we have a segmentation called Industry, some of the segments could be: Healthcare, Technology, Financial, Consumer Goods etc.   Once you've created different segments, you can add dynamic content blocks into your landing page or email. Hi all, I am curious if anyone has successfully been able to track Opportunities on the Lead object within Bizible? We have a business case in which Leads have associated Opportunities in SFDC, and have been told Bizible cannot support pipeline reporting on any Opps associated to Leads. Currently exploring "workarounds" and wanted to hear if anyone else has experienced this / has ideas to solve it? 

Hello,  I have noticed when using a custom database token, in the preview in Marketo, quotation marks are inserted. When I go to create a draft there is no option to remove quotation marks. However, when I send a test to my inbox, the quotation marks disappear.  Has anyone noticed this before? Are the quotation marks just to let the marketo user know that the sender is a token and therefore dynamic? I just want to ensure this won't hit a user's inbox with quotation marks.  Thanks.

Hi Team, I am planning to have Email program and targeted audience in the smartlist at program level so the program is restricted to selected leads,I wanted to have couple of smart campaigns to decide program success and failure by clicking links and not respectively.I understand by success the campaign sets to be trigger campaign but whereas the failure campaigns automatically turns out to be batch campaign which is understandable as no user input on an email to refer trigger campaign.My question is, the batch campaign within an Email Program turns out to be targetter to wide audience than smart list at program level. which requires redundant action to add list to failure campaign as well. Is my understanding correct or am I missing anything for Failure campaign.Please advise.

We have successfully integrated Facebook with Marketo; however, data is not flowing between the platforms as expected. Marketo support claims this is a Facebook issue, while Facebook support has been unhelpful. Interestingly, when using Zapier to establish the connection, data flows accurately. I am uncertain why the sync between Marketo and Facebook is not functioning properly.   TIA

Not quite sure what the difference between a Marketo executable campaign and a Marketo request campaign is and when you should use one over the other? Then you’ve come to the right place. This post will explain the difference, give examples of when each should be used, and also clear up the enigmatic “Use Parent Campaign Token Context” option.   Simply put, the difference between Marketo executable and request campaigns is that executable campaigns are executed sequentially while request campaigns are executed in parallel.   When 2 Marketo executable campaigns are placed one after another in a smart campaign flow, the first executable campaign will execute all its flow steps BEFORE the second executable campaign executes the first of its flow steps.   When 2 Marketo request campaigns are placed one after another, the first request campaign is requested, and then straight afterward the second request campaign is requested and both will carry out their flow steps simultane

I've been building a webhook to create a new text-type chatter item in SFDC and it has worked perfectly when I manually specify the subjectID. However, If I attempt to replace this with a Marketo token, the webhook fails. A common question that we come across at Adobe Marketo Engage Professional Services Consulting are around the feasibility of using distribution lists for email sends. The use cases we often have seen are for companies that use Marketo for internal communications and want to use an email alias such as team-x@my-company.com.   In order to create this alias, you would request your IT team to create the distribution list with all the internal seed list addresses and then send an email to everyone on the list to just one ID set by the team, e.g. marketingseedlist@<your.company.domain>.com. You would then need to create a single person record in the database using this distribution list email address.    However, while this is possible to do in Marketo, there are some careful considerations to take into account:   The first is that Marketo sees the list as only one recipient – meaning that individual metrics (clicks, open rates, etc.) are not tracked individually

My coworker is setting up to extract data via API for he analysis work from MKTO.  I have given him Read and Query permissions and he has a couple of questions that I, (100-% not an API person) cannot answer with authority.1. He is concerned he will delete our DB by accident2. More of a concern is the pull on MKTO resources by gathering all the data he wants for the last month then the last year.Are any of those concerns valid? I'm building out an operational program to capture some key data fields - Most Recent Conversion, First Conversion, First Campaign, etc., to centralize it. In regards to our Most Recent Conversion field for our Conferences, it's currently built like this: I want to know if an Executable Program will pull this information in. Obviously it pulls in:My TokensCampaign TokensProgram TokensMember TokensTrigger Tokens (if called from a Triggered Campaign)But given that it is not a token, will it still come in? My hunch is no and that I need to figure out a workaround. Any help appreciated.Chris
