Having trouble finding documentation of the process of setting up an API that feeds into a list that is part of a campaign.   Goal is to import new registrants via API (or FTP if possible) who then receive a welcome email right away. The form collecting this data is not a Marketo form.

Are you a new Marketo Measure (formerly known as Bizible) customer using Dynamics? Or maybe you’re just new to reporting with Marketo Measure data in Dynamics? This post is for you! If you’ve already installed the Marketo Measure solution into your Dynamics environment, you’ll notice that it comes with some starting reports (shown in the 1st picture below). Hi I want to change the background colour of a Marketo form that I am embedding via HTML. I have tried add a CSS tag but it just ends up turning the whole page to the background colour. 

Hey everyone,   I have created a custom Add to Calendar link for Zoom webinar registrants, however there is a problem with the Location. I would like the location to be {{member.webinar url}}, but the link cannot have spaces in it. Trying to substitute space with "+" or "%20" does not help as Marketo can no longer recognize new token such as {{member.webinar+url}} or {{member.webinar%20url}}. I have also tried creating a token {{my.webinar-url}} to pull info from {{member.webinar url}}, but it seems like you can't have a token within a token. In this case, calendar location is just "{{member.webinar url}}" and not the actual value. I am having trouble integrating Marketo Google Adwords Service Action with Google Ads. When trying to 'Authorize Marketo' while setting up the Service Action, I get an error message saying "oops... something went wrong, please contact Marketo Support". I am also getting another weird error message stating "Error creating webinar login" when creating the Service Action.    

With a server side approach, you have a couple of options using the Marketo REST API:   Submit Form API With this approach you’ll still need to create and approve a form in Marketo with the same fields as your custom form but you don’t need to embed it on your page. When a lead fills out and submits your custom form, you’ll need to queue up the submitted data so it can be processed one at a time, with implications on the concurrency limit of the Marketo REST API (Maxiumum 10 concurrent calls). The body of the API call will just be a single array item containing the fields from the form you created in Marketo and the form’s ID. The upside to this approach is that it will generate Marketo Form activities, which you can leverage through Smart List filters and triggers. You’ll also be able to use reporting features without embedding a hidden form on your page. This process will also allow you to capture and associate the cookie to the lead who fills out the form.   Create/Updat

Hi All!   Question about syncing Marketo Custom fields to SFDC AFTER the initial sync has already happened.  I did not set up the initial sync between our Marketo and SFDC instance, I have inherited the current setup.  I want to sync over Marketo's "Inferred State Region" field to SFDC, and I was reading this article. It's unclear to me if this should all be done before  the initial sync, or if this can be set up after the initial sync as well?  If it's not possible, I can utilize Marketo's inferred state field to update the state field that we have that does currently sync between the two systems. I understand that the inferred state field is not the most accurate, so I would just have it update the state field if the current value is empty.  Thoughts? Experiences with the above scenario? 

I would like to update the score of existing leads in Marketo by importing a list. But since we have duplicates in our database I would like to link the new score with the right Marketo ID (or SFDC ID) not the email.  When matching with the email Marketo matches with the email but with the wrong duplicate records. Is this anyhow possible?

We have a need to send out an email twice a month to a group of people, but the group itself changes based on whether or not they qualify for the smart list criteria at the time of the schedule.  The challenge is that members can sometimes and often do overlap.  So for example John Doe may be included in email send #1 and #4, but not #2, and so on.  We essentially want to treat each email send as it's own campaign in Salesforce, but are having challenges trying to design.   Maybe to say another way, we could create/clone a Program in Marketo and a Campaign in Salesforce manually twice a month for a total of 24 during the year, but there would seem to be a better way.  And we have many more campaigns like this, so relying on any manual steps is unrealistic.   Thanks in advance for any ideas/advice!    

Hi everyone, as you may know, Marketo switched off form prefill in 2019. Marketo says that prefill is still enabled if a lead would receive an email, click the tracked link in the email to arrive at a landing page with a form and then they would have prefill functionality work in a form.I tried just that, having a lead exist in Marketo, send a real email, click a button to a Marketo landing page and the form doesn’t prefill. The form field is an email field with prefill enabled and not a hidden field.I tested in two different instances with the same no prefilling results. Either something is missing from my testing scenarios, Marketo is bugging, or the prefill functionality no longer works from Marketo tracked email links.Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

Is there a way to have a Marketo form pre-fill if it's linked to from a Marketo landing page, that would be arrived at from a Marketo email (and so with mkt_tok)?   We are looking at developing a preference centre that houses a couple of email subscription options. We were also looking to have a separate unsubscribe page/form that would be a global unsubscribe, so the idea was to have copy on the unsubscribe page highlighting this and a link to manage preferences instead if preferred. However I'm not aware of a way to have the preference centre form pre-fill for a lead if they navigate there from the unsubscribe page (accessed from Marketo email) - only if they access the preference centre directly from the email. Is there a way to achieve this? Or is the only option to combine the two into one?

Hello Marketo Community,I was hoping to get some help regarding an integration issue when trying to connect Marketo to Google AdWords as a 'Launchpoint service'.Unfortunately, during my first attempt at integration, pop-ups were blocked and consequently the systems were not able to integrate successfully.Despite the apparent unsuccessful integration, Marketo was listed in the 'connected apps' in my Google account, which I subsequently removed in order to go through the integration process a second time.However, every time I now try to 'Authorize Marketo' when setting up the Launchpoint again, I get a message saying 'oops... something went wrong, please contact Marketo Support' - Marketo becomes listed as a 'connected app' in my Google account, however the two systems are failing to syncronise and I can't seem to progress. I have tried refreshing the page, changing user access levels, logging out and back in again, different broswer sessions - nothing seems to work.I have contacted Mark

Most of the time we encourage clients to keep duplicates out of Marketo as it can impact reporting and become difficult to work with. However, there are instances when clients will require intentional/purposeful duplicates as part of their sales process.   If you have intentional duplicates with partitions and workspaces – it is required having the secondary dedupe field as leadPartitionID. Hello community!   I have a form embedded in our website. It redirects to an external TY page, but I want to keep the UTMs that it had when the form and LP loaded.   I'm storing the UTMs in hidden fields, however, I don’t know if I can use fields or tokens that are calling these fields or if there is an easier way to keep this?   Thanks!   - Raul

Hi community!   I reviewing an old program that blocked some users and I need to understand the priority of this feature. So this program had a list of 242 folks and 48 were blocked by different filters (empty email, invalid emails, unsubscribed, etc.).   There is a record that had the unsubscribed value as true so it appears in the blocked list. However, since our email was created as operational, meaning it ignores the unsubscribe settings, even if it appears in the blocked list, the record should have received the email, right?   The email was sent on Jan 11, 2022, and the only log activity it shows from that day is a Change Program Status.      

When adding Personalized Content to Emails, by default the CTA is orange. Is there any way to change this?

My company does customer surveys pretty frequently and we just switched over to Marketo so this is a bit new. We assign each of our customers their own unique survey link so we can get more information comparing their responses to their account. When I upload a list with their individual survey link it creates a new lead in the database. Is it possible to do a list upload to update the existing record? Or will the new record just have to be deleted once it is sent? 

I want to pull leads based on the following main criteria:  - Created in the last 90 days - BUT Not in the last 30 days - Not sent OR Delivered OR Opened I set it up in image below but I keep seeing leads who were created before 90 days. Could this be because the lead record could have been updated or am I completely off with my logic?  

Trying to figure out how to send an alert email to a field in Marketo. So essentially I have someone filling out a form with name, phone and email. The form is for a specific user in the Marketo database. If the person filling out the form does not move onto the next step, I want to send an alert email to the Marketo user with the information from the form. I can see sending an email based on a parameter, but I can't figure out how to set it up to send the same email, but to multiple users based on a data point. For reference the data point/field is affiliateEmail. So I need a way to send an email to affiliateEmail each time. If this is confusing let me know I can try and explain more.

I am in the process of syncing Marketo with Salesforce and before hitting the "Start Salesforce Sync", I want to hide some fields which I understood can be done by going to Field Management > Field Actions > Hide Fields. However, in Field Management, I am only able to modify the mapping and the "Field Actions" drop-down is not visible. Is this only visible once I have already done the Salesforce sync?   Hitting "Finish Mapping" only brings me back to the Integrations > Salesforce tab where I can hit "Start Salesforce Sync".   Many thanks for your help!

Through Dynamic Content, Marketo Engage offers a very powerful way to personalize emails and landing pages based on the properties of a Person. Creating Segments allows each Person to be filed into one (and only one) group for a given parameter. A common use case is for personalizing an email based on the language requested by the recipient. Segments can be setup (left) and then used to customize the content of content modules (right).   As you can see, when you have only eight different options, they are all mutually exclusive, and each completely changes the entire content of the block, using Segments with Dynamic Content is a great solution.   But what if the personalization was about something far more important:   You could set up Segments for the various preferred flavors: But to which Segment would you assign the record above? I just added a new domain alias to the Admin Landing Pages area following the instructions here: https://docs.marketo.com/display/public/DOCS/Add+Additional+Landing+Page+CNAMEs   The process seemed to complete without error but I can't see the domain alias I just created listed anywhere. Shouldn't I be able to see it so as to know it's there?
