Adobe Marketo Engage

Hi everyone,   we are using IP restrictions for Webservices (whitelist) and are facing more and more 3rd parties that cannot provide a (range of) static IP addresses to whitelist.   We are considering setting up an API gateway as proxy to help passthrough the calls in those kind of cases and still to be able to integrate them in Marketo. I am looking for some best practices around this really. If anyone of you could share some details about how they set this up, this would be much appreciated! I was looking for some blog posts on this, but couldn't find anything.   Some questions on my mind: Would there be 2 authentications, first against the proxy and then against Marketo? Can 3rd parties generally handle this extra layer of authentication? Or would the proxy have to behave 100% transparent to the service (generally speaking)? Is it even "thinkable" to leave it "open" to the wild evil internet and only let Marketo handle the auth whilst the proxy only does basic "

Hi,   We will be running a drip campaign with 11 emails and we want to set the cadence to send it out to everyone every 2 days unless they click on a specific link in the email which says they would like to receive it immediately instead. I am struggling with the logic of path 2 and hoping someone might be able to assist with sense checking the below.   Path 1: Clicked on specific link in email 1 and receive email 2 immediately. This one is fine as it is a simple clicks link trigger   Path 2: Not clicked specific link in email 1 to receive immediately, send in 2 days. The below is what I was advised but this seems like it won't do what we intend it to. Flow step is Run once every 2 days as a batch.   The logic continues with the next emails. Could someone please kindly confirm or advise how it can set this up correctly?   Thanks for your help in advance, Sharon      

Hi all! I was wondering if we could associate cookies to leads in our database without the lead filling out a form. We recently removed most of our forms from our website. We are adding leads to our database via events/tradeshows. When these leads visit our website, they are showing as anonymous leads in our reports. The report will show the country and company name, but it will not show the leads name and email address. Is there a way to cookie these leads in our database that visit our website, so we know who is visiting without the lead having to fill out a form or clicking a link in an email? Hello,The past two quarters our Paid Ads tracking through Bizible has not been working correctly. I have narrowed the issue down to the "Referrer Page - Raw" and "Landing Page Raw" not being tracked correctly on the Bizible Person object.When it did work correctly all of our paid ads touchpoints populated with a "Referrer Page - Raw" of https://www.google.com/ and the "Landing Page Raw" of the URL linked in the Ad. Since Q3 however our "Referrer Page - Raw" has been populating with the URL of the Ad. This causes our bizible attribution to go haywire. Is there a common reason for "Referrer Page - Raw" not populating correctly with https://www.google.com/?Thanks!

Hi there,    We are using different online calculator which post their data as for post. In this form post all data are seperate data field.  The disadvantage is that all this filed will be overwritten in case of the next form post.    We like to store this data as object within one custom field. From what I read the best way would be to use a custom text area field. As custom ojects data can't be stored via smart campaign flows we like to use a custom field.    There are several posts on this topic but none of them worked for me. Hi there,   I've made changes to an existing email template and to an existing snippet. When trying to approve the drafts, I am getting "unexpected errors".   I've tried to clone the master email template and approving it, and that works. The same applies to the snippet.   Naturally, I don't want to clone the master email template to get a new version approved as I'd have to adjust all the emails who are using the template.   Are the template and snippet files corrupt? What can I do to fix this?Thank you!  

Hello, I am tasked with updating a data value (Shore Ex Code) on around 2K records in Marketo. I have been provided an excel document with the list of contacts whose records need to be updated. The problem I am running into is that some email addresses have duplicate records. Case in point: This person below signed up for two GVR accounts using the same email address. They were assigned a unique Member ID for each account via our CRM and then added to the GVR Person Partition in Marketo: In the excel doc I was provided (see below), the record with Member ID GVR06288EHZ should be assigned the Shore Ex Code in Marketo: However, when I uploaded the excel doc to Marketo, the account with Member ID GVR34921EMZ was updated with the Shore Ex Code. Is there any way for me to ensure that when dealing with duplicate email addresses, a specific record is updated and not a different one? Thank you, LK

Hello All,   I have an abm going to a specific company.  It seems the opens are tracking but clicks are not.  Im just wondering how one would work and the other not? I appreciate tracking issues continue to get worse and more complex, but how can a link not be tracked yet the link location is showing views?   Im trying to pinpoint and explain what and where the issue is? Hi all, I attempted to run a Champion vs Challenger test on the subject line of emails within my batch campaign but it did not seem to work.  Hoping I may be able to get some advice as to where I went wrong / how to run this correctly.   I have 'Send Email' steps within the flow of the applicable smart campaigns.  Prior to sending I; Went to the email asset/s. Right clicked and selected 'New Test' Changed the test type to 'Subject Line' The 'Champion' pre-filled from the email created and approved. I typed an alternate subject in the 'Challenger' field. Set the distribution to 50% / 50%. The champion criteria was Open %. Under the 'Test Actions' drop down I approved the test.   I also sent a sample test and got both versions emailed to me. After the assigned week, I got the email with the results and found that all people were sent the champion and noone received the challenger.  This has happened over a few emails. Hi all,I have trawled through the community and the product docs but haven't quite managed to answer this yet......and it might sound like a dumb question so please bear with me because we are new to this!When we are sending out customer emails, I understand we can use any valid 'from' and 'reply to' address that's associated with our company. My question is, if a customer was to hit 'reply to' and physically send a message back to that email address, where does it actually go?!  Does it go back to Marketo and we can monitor these responses within the platform itself?  Where in Marketo would we monitor this?My understanding is that the 'reply to path' for Marketo emails means that they will be returned to Marketo itself, and not to a mailbox or person to monitor responses.  Thank you,LisaP.S. Hi team, I am working on a Marketo engage sandbox tool to explore the Marketo features. I have triggered emails to my mailbox(mail ID and marketo login ID are same) from the Marketo sandbox. Hi all,   I'm trying to upload some SVG files to the design studio. I have done so with no issues in the past. But now, when I try to do so, I get the warning "Potentially unsafe file blocked (IMAGE/SVG+XML)". Does anyone know what I can do to upload these files?   Thank you!   EDIT: Solved, there were extra properties on the generated SVG that needed to be deleted.

Hi. I can't seem to find anything on this. Can Marketo create a report where it shows emails scheduled 7 days in the future? I understand there's a calendar, but I would like an email report sent to me every Monday showing me the emails that are in scheduled to be sent out during the upcoming week.   Thanks, Kristal

Unlike more traditional script development, where you can use debugging tools to step through your work, writing Velocity scripts in Marketo, particularly complex ones, can be frustrating as it's challenging to get feedback and make the little tweaks that often lead to resolving those tricky bugs. Hello Marketo users,    The company I work for is looking for a way to get a list of all in-use assets across our Marketo instance. High level, this would be emails, email templates, landing pages, forms and any other marketing assets (not as granular as images etc). Is there a way to export this type of information, as well as see as its last use? For instance I know we used XYZ template in a smart campaign last Wednesday, and the ABC lead capture form was last filled out in 2020 etc etc.   I could crawl through our folder structure but that would take a significant amount of time (our instance is almost 10 years old).   ANY help on this would be greatly appreciated and likely save me hours of time. Whats the best way to dynamically change the text on Marketo webform button based on a customer segment ? Use case: We are looking to place 1 Marketo form on a single Marketo LP and expose an audience from various countries to those pages (existing records only).  The content on the LP will change dynamically based on a language segment.  How do I setup the same on the webform button (labels are not used) ?   The form and LPs are currently stored in Design studio which is why I dont believe a dynamic token will work (unless we move everything under a program in marketing activities).     

Hi, I am looking forward to seeing if someone has come across the problem where they would want to capture the email copy that is going out from Marketo to their members in another system as well. We have a requirement that needs an automated process for sending our email log ( Dynamic and personalized ones too ) to another system called Genesys that we have sent out from Marketo to our members.  The other system should be able to receive real-time email copy that is going out from Marketo to members from our campaigns. This is basically to support our contact center team if there is a call that requires them to look into an email that our member has received from Marketo. Not sure if what I'm trying to do is possible but @sanfordwhiteman usually has a solution.   I want to have 1 global "download" page for all content that we offer for download. Every mailer has new literature for download. That means the download material always changes each time with different "topic titles". (Being able to change "topic title" dynamically would be great but with 150+ topics, segmenting doesn't seem to be the answer, or is it somehow and I'm missing something)   Since each download is unique, and the page remains the same, I also need pass this unique identifier like "topic title" back in an "alert" email.   This will also be using a global form which will use progressive profiling, but, after we have all the data points, I'd like to display just the "download now" button (known person). Is this even possible using both pp and known person. What data points are used to qualify someone as a "known person"?   Example: Person A gets email "1" goe
