Hi there, I'm trying to use an email script token as a recipient for an email alert. I'm using this because the choice rules on the Flow are too way restricted for my necessity. The following is an example of what I'm doing.   The token itself works correctly: if I use it within the body email, it will be resolved correctly to the correct email address, but if I use it as a recipient, it is not working.  If I'm looking into the log, I can see the step executed correctly, but I'm not seeing the resolved token, just the name.     The main question is: can I use an email script token as an alert recipient? Second one: why it is not working?  

Hello Everybody,   I'm in the process of setting up a scoring model. And I am trying to set up the score decay.   What I want to do is to subtract X points if the record has not been updated in the past Y weeks.   For that I am using an "Updated At" field but I am unsure what operator to use as some of the options are not too descriptive (to me at least). Hi there,    We have been tasked to created the event registration process for a huge event coming up this year. They want a pdf file to be in the registration confirmation and reminder emails that will have a QR code for each session they have signed up for. The idea is that the pdf will probably contain multiple QR codes unique to each registrant and will be scanned when they enter the session in the event.    Is there a straightforward process for this? 🙂   

Hello-  I am trying to create a velocity script. For instance, I want anyone who has a 19 in the year segmentation to set date to 1990.    If Year contains 20 set Date to 2000 If Year contains 19 set Date to 1990 If Year contains 18 set Date to 1980   How do I write the script to achieve the above?

Hello,   Forgive me, I've searched for other topics that have discussed this and have come close but not quite.I want to tally the number of folks who overlap among my main lists. I have 10 main opt-in list categories I use in Marketo. I could easily run a report all the combinations of two different lists (I count 42 configurations), but once we get to more than two, it gets tricky, we could be talking hundreds of thousands of permutations of someone being on from one to ten of these individvuals lists. The most practical bird's-eye way of looking at this is I could do a distribution of tallies, so like --List 1:37 people on 9 other lists lists3320 people on 8 other lists5723 on 7 other lists...Lather, rinse repeat, for each individual list. Maybe do it in bar-graph form rather than listed out like this, but basically that's the most stensible way of doing it as far as I can tell.Anyone able to tell me specifically how to go about creating such a tally? With the new email template, we are now replacing button CTA editable zone with 2 variables (one for the URL, one for the text). This enables to limit actions from the user and the opportunities to break CSS styling of the link.The problem is that, some users are requesting to insert an email address in the link, to generate an <a href="mailto:email@company.com"> link type.When creating the link in a text element, the user may uncheck the "track link" box. But with Variables, there is no such dialog box, so we want to simply add the class="mktNoTrack" to the <a> tag. The template code would look like this:<a class="mktNoTrack" href="mailto:${CTAemailaddress}">${CTAText}</a>Will this has the effect of removing Marketo tracking on this CTA and therefore make it work as intended on all email clients?-Greg@Justin Cooperman​

Hi,  We have observed that some leads have blank webpage activity information for the last 7 days and this is mainly for API-created leads. We have a Dev. Sign up page and our Dashboard is sending the information to Woopra and then from Woopra to Marketo. The Munchkin cookie is working fine but not able to track the issue. Also, we are in the process to implement the Segment tool to our Tech Stack and have implemented the segment code to our brand website and other pages. Not sure if the Segment code is making some impact but open to know your thoughts.

Hi folks   I try to integrate Segment and Marketo as it would ease our life. Unfortunately, right now, it creates duplicates leads. Indeed, Marketo is not able to merge the anonymous Lead with the new lead who submitted the form. We've followed Segment's best practice. But unfortunately, it does not work (we are going to try the last advice, pass email in the call, and track call). Indeed, even if the field AnonymousId is not empty, the lookup is done through userId, so it creates a new user. Do you have any good advice to make this integration work?   Cheers, Kevin

We have been trying to integrate Segment with Marketo. However, while doing the testing, we found that Segment is creating duplicate leads in Marketo. One with Anonymous ID and blank email address, the other with an email address and the same anonymous ID. Sharing the lead journey for this use case.  

Hi,I have a question regarding program id. As far as I know Transactional emails and Events are both programs. and I want to insure that program id for TE and for events can't be the same. Can someone confirm it please?

Hi All,   We are looking to pass data back to Meta to help the algorithm learn what works for our business. Currently, Facebook Lead Forms are integrated with Marketo then data are being passed to SF. However, the unique identifier, “Lead ID” is not been synced to neither Marketo nor SF.   Is there a way to sync Lead ID from FB to Marketo or SF ?    Regards

I have created a new form and enabled reCAPTCHA v3.  When I add the said form to a Marketo landing page, the reCAPTCHA display text spills over the edge of form.  Please see attached image.    Any help or guidance on how to fix this would be much appreciated.  Thank you 

Is it possible to create a smart campaign to change Person Status after a period of inactivity? For example: if someone is in Open status and no new call activity has been logged, then flip them to Archive - Nurture after 45 days?    I have started setting up this smart list, but I have my doubts that the first filter will work as I want it (I think this will capture anyone who changed in the past 45 days, not exactly or more than 45 days ago) but I'm not sure what I should use instead.  Then in the flow, I would use change data value to update the status to Archive - Nurture. My organization is thinking of doing this plus automating Working status leads with no activity too.     

According to the post below it is possible to allow writing to account level fields. hi all, me again!   we've got an issue on a transactional (operational) email whereby we're using a token that's displaying a table, but the formatting of the table makes it difficult to read some of the info because of how it's aligning.    we remember a supplier had set this formatting up ages ago, but dont remember much else.   we're plugging in our own systems to Marketo, and the only info populating the table is text. where would the formatting be set please? the token i use is just: {{my.TEOrderDetails}}. is this in admin or? we have a html guy, but he needs to know where to amend the formatting.   thanks as always! KR, Mike PS - At the mo, it's just a basic text token: {{my.TEOrderDetails}}, and the data is provided by an API from an internal system, our IT team are adamant that the formatting is applied on our side in marketo.    

We just added a new primary domain to our instance since we are moving to a new domain as a company. Our consultants said it was ready to use. I tried sending emails out of it with links as a test. Even though the link may be www.example.com, what comes out when it is sent is go.example.com which breaks every single link. I am not sure why this is happening or how to fix it. We have a launch Monday and this really screws things up. 

Is there a maximum number of entries that can be input into the Multiple Value Chooser window when creating a smart list or a list? Thanks

I have tried reading various other posts, but am unable to find a definitive answer to this scenario. We are going to run an event with the following setup:   - Add program members with 'invite not sent' status - Send email to program members with link to landing page/form to enter email/name etc and register attendance - On submission of form, program member status changes from 'invite not sent' to 'registered'   There will certainly be recipients who forward the email or share the link with colleagues. Using a custom 'forward to a friend' link is not suitable, we have to assume the email or link will be manually shared.    What I would like to understand is: 1. What happens if the email entered in the form does not match the email that we sent the invite to?  2. What happens if after clicking the link and filling in the form, the recipient then forwards their email to a colleague who is not part of the program. Does that second submission add a new member to

Hi,    Our team is interested in tracking individual lead website activity in Adobe Analytics, and are thinking about leveraging UTMs to connect a leads Salesforce ID to their web activity in a report.   (this was just a test to see that the data came through).      Has anyone ever done something similar in their instance? Are there any legal/compliance issues this might cause? Would it be enough to add a line in our privacy policy stating we will generate and use a Salesforce ID for new leads? 

Hi there-  I have been digging around for a document that may be helpful and provide additional detailed information on Marketo email failure reasons. Below are some of the failures we are receiving and have questions on. 550 5.1.1 User unknown - this email is correct....is the company blocking it? 550 5.7.1 Relaying denied - this email is correct..... is the company blocking it? 550 [internal] [oob] The recipient is invalid - correct email on our end 550 [internal] [oob] The recipient is invalid - updated email and it still won't send Marketo Entry ID# 1319735: 550 Invalid Recipient 550 permanent failure for one or more recipients - updated email, still not sending 5.4.1 Recipient address rejected: Access denied - first communication delivered, others weren't. 553 sorry, no mailbox here by that name - correct email address.  

I am having issues with setting up the correct zaps for pushing registrant data to Teams and sending attendance data from Teams back to Marketo. I setup the catch hook in Zapier as the Trigger and then the API event from MSFT Teams speficially the Get call. I am new to setting this up, is the correct way? Looks like standard team events through Zapier pertains to setting up channels/chats only. 

Salesforce has a relatively new feature to allow Accounts to be campaign members of a campaign (previously was limited to just leads or contacts). I was hoping the Member of Salesforce Campaign filter would still pull in any contacts associated with the account that's a member of the campaign, but it doesn't appear to work that way. Has anyone discovered a way to utilize this data in Marketo?

Hello Everyone,   Right now, we are using 4-5 generic email alias for sending emails so that if someone reverts, we can track back the responses. However, now we have received a request from our senior leadership to send emails from our individual salesperson's email address and there are almost 300 such salespeople we have. Please let me know if it’s recommended to send emails from individual email addresses from Marketo, in terms of spam rate, email deliverable issues, or other basic compliances.
