hi all, long time no post (maybe I'm finally getting the hang of Marketo?!) hope all are well.in essence, we are plugged into an internal crm/db via api, and after much arm twisting are now aloud to add consents from other means (outside of this). i am wondering how we are best to handle these new leads' in marketo please?our IT team are very strict and want the internal db to be the single point of truth, but are allowing us to put in new leads via third party methods (and will hopefully facilitate this because i've not a clue), but i am wondering about how we'll handle this from a program point of view if possible please?how am i best turning this cohort into consenting leads (just like the ones we get via api from internal db)?i've found the 'person was pushed to marketo' filter i can use on the smart list, but not really sure where to go from here. Any help much appreciated as always.thanks & kind regards, Mike

I have nested several programs in an engagement program stream. If someone doesn't qualify for the current program cast I want them to move ahead automatically and see if they qualify for the next program. And so on. I've read that they don't move on until the next cast but that could be too long. Is there a way to move them ahead automatically?  For example:Someone doesn't qualify for program 1 and it checks to see if they qualify for program 2 or program 3, etc. during the same cast. And it moves ahead until it finds a program that they qualify for. All during the same cast without waiting.  Is this doable?thanks,

Hi there could use some help with troubleshooting some velocity script issues we are running into. We have a custom SFDC object that is related to the Person record via the account. We have checked off the fields used in the script as well as the company field. Hello,We're looking at moving our event registrations from our Kentico CMS to Marketo to take advantage of automating emails and integration with Zoom.I know that form fields tie to a specific Custom Field like "First Name" and this gets added to the program data for that Lead's registration. My question is: If a Lead registers for Event A with a First Name of "Bob" and then registers for Event B with a First Name of "Bill" within the program data of Event A, would the First Name of that Lead be changed/updated to "Bill"?We tend to have multiple events and webinars running at the same time and someone could possibly register for more than one. Our departments like to have the registration data, so I'm looking into how to handle data if a Lead registers for more than one active event?

What is changing?   Currently, Marketo Engage Forms use jQuery library version 1.x when embedded on websites. In our next release beginning on January 9th, 2024, we will be updating the jQuery library used by forms2.js to version 3.7.1.   Why is this change being made? The currently used jQuery version has security vulnerabilities, is not sufficiently supported by browsers, and has reached the end of it’s supported lifecycle. jQuery 3. x offers enhanced security, better performance, smaller file sizes for faster loading on slow networks, ECMAScript 6 support, and several other advantages.   What customer action is required? If your company’s website loads its own version of the jQuery library, and your website uses embedded Marketo Engage forms or forms2.js, it must be updated to support jQuery library version 3.x.   When must customers make the change? Customers that load their own version of the jQuery library on their website and use embedded Marketo Engage Forms

Hi there, I'm building out channels in Marketo right now, as well as our utm structure and overall attribution model. I'm wondering if you all use both some kind of email blast (one off) channel in addition to a blog post channel. And if for example I send an email with a CTA that points to a new blog post, which channel would that go under? Thank ya!

I imported a spread sheet that has a date of birth field with a field type of  'date' . The date of birth was formatted in a csv as  05/18/2084 and uploaded to that person's data. The database > info > date of birth field in the person data shows, May 18, 2084. The email I've sent out has a token to get the person's dob, {{lead.Date of Birth:default=edit me}}. The email in their inbox displays that as, 2084-05-18. Where is the setting to fix how tokens render the date in SMS or email? Or is there another setting somewhere to change so the dob is in an acceptable format?

 It has been brought to my attention that 'Vietnam' needs to be spelt correctly on all our global forms and within our CRM-Salesforce.Instead of Vietnam, we have Viet Nam as our stored, select value in all forms.What is the best way to correct this spelling error in bulk in all forms? - Could Python code work? I can then create a smart campaign to change old values to new values in Marketo when corrected.In Salesforce, is this again a store value change that can be done on mass by the CRM Admins?Will the corrected value in Marketo sync to  Salesforce lead and update in Saleforce too?Thanks

My team is beginning to use multiple workspaces across regions, and I want to set them up with access to all of our program templates I've built (for webinars, quote request campaigns, etc.) You can't directly move a program across workspaces, but various posts on here say you should be able to move folders between workspaces, and that those folders can have programs inside them. I have not been able to accomplish this, unfortunately. Whenever I try, I get error messages that assets in the folder are in use and can't be moved. All of the assets and campaigns in the program I'm trying move, though, only reference other assets/campaigns in that same program. I've tried unapproving assets and making sure all campaigns are off, but I still get this issue.Any suggestions?

Hi community! Just cloned a program and now I need to remove the forms (came approved) since I have other approved forms. I noticed I cannot unapproved so I just removed where they were used, and the Used By window is empty. When I try to delete them it says they are in use and won't allow me to remove them. Any solution? Thanks!

Greetings all, I understand how progressive profiling and known visitor functionality works, but our team is asking if we can create a form that recognizes known visitors of a subscription program vs. the entire database.Example:Visitor A comes to landing page, Marketo identifies them as being a member of the subscription list and shows them a simplified form, such as email address.Visitor B comes to the landing page and Marketo sees they are not a member of the subscription list so they must fill out the more detailed form. Is this possible?Thanks!

HiI have embedded our global forms on AEM (Adobe Experience Manager) and progressive profiling isn't working. I read in the forum that progressive profiling and prefill don't work on embedded forms.  Does anyone know a workaround to get Progressive profiling working? ThanksDominique

Hi, Background: Business-A has asked us to remove all Lead records in Marketo that have the "SynctoMkto" flag marked as False in Marketo.  Having these records in Marketo are causing duplicates in the database since Business-A is creating a new Lead in CRM for every Signal. All Leads in CRM (for Business-A) are associated with a Contact record in CRM(Dynamics 365), which means a Lead in CRM is a duplicate record for Business-A in CRM/Marketo. Ask: Need to Research all impacts to deleting a person record in Marketo and what are best practice steps so that we can clearly communicate what the impact to the business will be when we remove these records for them.

I need to trigger an e-mail to send based on a status change of a salesforce opportunity.I need to include in the e-mail the content of a field on the opportunity - a reason/description field.How can I get or create a token to pull that field from the opportunity and insert it in the body of the e-mail?

Hello this might be a dumb question but does Marketo form block gmail, yahoo, aol, etc, email domains? 

I recently made a mistake, sending out an email with the text version not matching the HTML version.  The current Email Link Performance Report showed that the top text link received over 22 times the clicks over the top html link.  Thinking we inadvertently found a way to measure bot clicks, we intentionally placed a unique link at the top of the text version of this week's email. Again, it is receiving over 10x the amount of clicks as the next most link.  Is this BOT activity or could there be another explanation?Thanks!

Trying to setup Dynamic Chat Dialogues (ie Triggered automated chats) within my website. I can get the chat to appear on my site and go through the Stream Designer as defined. BUT it only shows the first time the Audience definition criteria is met.> Is there a way to get it to trigger EACH time the criteria is met? Currently defining it to show on specific URLs, when been on page > 3 seconds and if the Inferred Country is one of my target countries, so nothing to complex in the setup. Why is this not showing each time the criteria is met? Surely this would be a popular use case?

Hi, community! I am working on adding Google Analytics 4 tags to our forms to track form submissions per form using this article (https://www.dreweastmead.com/blog/how-to-pass-marketo-form-submissions-through-gtm-into-ga4). The tags work properly on all of our forms except for our forms that we use for downloading content on our site. For these forms, we use known visitor HTML because every form uses the same Marketo form + some custom javascript to redirect to the correct page. It appears that once we implement these tracking tags in tag manager, the known visitor HTML overrides the Javascript and there is no redirect anymore. When I turn off the GA4 tag, the known visitor HTML form redirects successfully. Hi everybody.If you run a webinar in On24, you can send webinar email invitations from either Marketo or On24. What are the benefits and drawbacks of each platform where email invitations are concerned? We send from Marketo, but I realize I can control the look and feel of emails in On24, too, and it sounds like it might be more efficient to send emails from On24. (Our On24 instance is integrated with Marketo).
