Implementing an Abandon Basket Programme

Hi,

We want to create an Abandon Basket series of emails for our customers, and we'd like the first email to contain the products that a customer has saved in their basket.

we would want to send over images and details of the products

I've been advised that using Magento Integration is the best way to do this:

Has anyone done this before and does anyone have another suggestion for this?
