What's a good way to see how long the average time that someone spends in a certain stage is? How do you meausre funnel velocity?

If you build and deploy a revenue model there is out-of-box reporting for this. Does your subscription include the model?

The other side of the coin is to have hidden fields on the lead layout in SalesForce watch for updates to the lead status field and time stamp them via workflow. This gives you the data you need to build the reports in SalesForce. You can use trigger campaigns in Marketo to update lead status based on engagement for the stages of the revenue cycle that Marketing owns.

We used the second option Mark talks about here.  It seemed to work well.
