Email Program with Test already run - Not send a winner

I've got an Email Program with test emails that have already run.   I did not select to automatically pick a winner, instead we wanted to manually decide.

We decided after the test that we don't want to send any of the emails as a winner, to the remaining list.   A winner is currently picked and set to send on a date in the future.

Will Unapproving the program make the sending of the winner email never happen?

Can you click the abort button? I would do that, and that would stop the campaign.

I don't see any abort button... I think that may only apply if the test portion itself hasn't run.
