Editing social buttons in email

In the email template I'm working in, it has a couple of icons that I need to remove. However, when I went to remove them from the code I received an error message.

Has anyone been able to delete specific icons from the social media icons module?

Can you share the code or original template you are working on (the social module is enough), we need to see the code so we can make suggestions?
