Deduplication Marketo vs Salesforce

Hello,

I am trying to sweep our duplicate's in Marketo and there are a few people that are listed as both a contact and a lead, but when I go to Salesforce to convert them only the contact is found (not the lead as well).  When I try and sync the lead with salesforce I get a failed result saying " Invalid Field For Insert Update:cannot specify id in an insert call" Any idea why this is happening or how I can fix it?

It's possible that those leads were already converted and Marketo never really saw that conversion for some reason.
 

As for invalid field, it sounds like there's a missing field or incorrect value being passed. Can you ask your SFDC Admin to review permissions and the fields involved?
