Declare a Winner emails

Before I started working at my current company, they were just using batch campaigns in the way the nurtures are meant to be utilized. They were also setting up Champion/Challenger tests for all of these batch emails. We've since moved our plans to nurture streams.

These Declare a Winner emails are still going to those individuals that set up these batch sends. I know the idea around Champion/Challenger is the ongoing challengers for A/B testing. But since these are batch and have already run, they are just getting sent these same results over and over again. She says she's declared winners each time an email is sent to her.

Is there a way to deactive these without discarding the test? Ideally, it'd be nice to keep that data but just not have these sent anymore.

Thanks!

Kind of a silly workaround idea, but what if you took a screenshot with the results and then added that to your design studio and linked to it from the program or email description? Then you could deactivate the test and "keep" the test results.

If a winner has been declared and the test is over, the system should stop sending out these emails.  I will look into this.

Thanks Cheryl. I figured it was because this was a Champ/Challenger test that it thought it was ongoing.

Hi Kim,

I'd like to have an engineer look at the problem you are experiencing.  Can you send me a link to the program that is still sending out the emails?

Thanks,
Cheryl

Ok. She's going to send me some examples when she gets them later this week. I'll let you know!

Kim, I've found that once a champion is declared, all of the test results disappear (hence my suggestion), but this might help you to determine if the test has actually had a champion declared. If the test still shows, then the champion hasn't been declared.

Hey Cheryl,

Here's an example. She says that she already declared a winner for this one.

Nurture: https://app-sj02.marketo.com/#NP1273A1

Email: https://app-sj02.marketo.com/#EM3312A1LA1

It's also weird bc in the Declare a Winner email, it says approved 6/10 but this was approved and running before that.

I'll go ahead and put in a ticket.
