Creating a trigger off of clicking a link on a landing page

I’ve create a landing page with lightbox links to videos (noted on a separate server). The videos are not hosted in Marketo and the server they are hosted on does not have munchkin code configured on it. I want to create triggers when people view the video on the landing page. Is this possible? When I try to create the trigger it does not autofill so I am concerned it will not work. Suggestions?

Phil, are they clicking on a link from a site that is tracked? You can use a "clicks link" trigger, and if you want, you can also constrain it to the page on which the clicked link is located.

Yes, it's an LP I created/posted in Marketo. That's exactly how I have it set up but it doesn't seem to work.

Sometimes the way that you write the link (with or without http://) can effect the tracking. You might try slightly different variations of the link to see if that helps at all.
