A New Year, A New Design & Structure In Community!

Welcome to 2018! We’re starting the new year out on a positive note by rolling out a new design and structure in the Marketing Nation Community with the goal of helping you be more successful with Marketo, more quickly. The new design and structure was reviewed and vetted by many Community members and we truly appreciated all their valuable feedback.

Starting next new week, you will see:

  1. A new home page experience – When you land on the home page, you’ll see a news feed of what’s new and exciting in the Marketing Nation Community. For those of you who have been part of Marketing Nation for several years, it will be like going back to the good ‘ol days. The Marketo banner has also been removed so you have immediate access to what you really care about, the exciting and helpful conversations happening among your fellow Community members.
  2. One place for discussions – You asked and we answered. No more decisions about where to look for answers to your questions. Product Discussions and Marketing Discussions have been merged into a single place to access the genius of your fellow marketers, simply called Discussions.
  3. A new Blog space – Read about best practices, tips and tricks, and more from peers, experts, and Marketo employees…all in one spot.
  4. An area for Release Info – Want to learn about what’s in the latest, greatest Marketo release? Look no further than our new Release Info space.
  5. Mobile friendly – Guess what? The Marketing Nation is now mobile friendly so you can take it on the go with you. The genius of your peers is always at your fingertips.

I’m excited to roll out these changes to Marketing Nation. As always, if you have any additional ideas or feedback, please feel free to let me know.

You can expect the Marketing Nation Community to keep getting better and better throughout 2018!

Looks like this is just happening with my posts.  Referencing the same discussion thread above, Gabby added a new comment to her own discussion thread and date-stamp was properly captured; and resurfaced the discussion back to the top.

@Dan Stevens, this is odd. When I look at the thread, I see that  your response "I took a look at the report..." shows with a time stamp of 5:32AM PT/8:32AM ET which is correct. Please let me know if this issue persists and I will open a case with Jive Support.

Thanks, Janet

Hi Janet - yes, odd indeed.  I too saw the correct timestamp for that specific post.  But others, it's not registering at all.  In fact, before you commented here to my comments made this morning, this thread didn't even recognize my activity/timestamp.

This is totally happening to me as well. Threads don't recognize new posts, so the sort order never changes. Very frustrating.

@Sanford Whiteman and @Dan Stevens, I will report this to Jive Support. Thanks.

@Janet, still having issues in viewing IDEAS properly.  When you're on the main ideas page (Ideas ), the 10 most recent ideas are listed.  When you reach the bottom of the listing, click on "show all".  The expectation is that you would see a continuation of most recently submitted ideas.  In fact, that's the default filter when accessing this page - but instead, it's a list of top vote getters:

So I try to go to another view, hoping that I can select this sort filter from another screen.  I select "sort by latest activity: newest first":

I'm now taken to the same view - but now it says "sort by score".  That's not what I selected:

I'm now given a completely new set of filters - none of which I'm hoping to see (I'm still trying to sort by most recently submitted):

All I'm trying to do is sort by most recently submitted (which is different that latest activity) - and there's no way to accomplish this - at least not intuitively.

BTW, what is the difference between "most votes" and "sort by score"?

Not sure if it’s just me, but I’m finding that accessing the community and clicking on discussions is EXTREMELY slow (almost unresponsive). Are others experiencing this?

Looks like all "recent activity" has been removed - or the feed isn't working properly - for all the User Group sections:

@Dan Stevens, Jive ran a fix for us on Friday and it's possible that the issues in the User Groups and with the performance are tied to that. Jive is aware of it and working on it as we speak. I'll have to submit another tickets regarding the Ideas sorting issue.

Thanks, as always, for letting me know.

Oh yeah, it's been horrendous. Maybe better today, though.
