Adobe Marketo Engage

Hello everyone, A few months ago, we updated one of our email modules in the email template to ensure it is responsive in dark mode. (This is our text module which is used in all of our emails!) To update existing emails, it seems we need to re-drag the module and update it to ensure it displays correctly in dark mode. Simply re-approving the email template and bulk approving the emails hasn't worked for us. Is there a solution for this? Possibly, is there a way to see a list of emails and the last time they were updated or approved? Comparing this with the date we updated the email template could help us identify which emails still need to be updated. Thanks!Camille

Let's say I want to send the same email to one million people. I don't want to send it to all of them at once as that could cause my IP to get flagged as sending spam. I also really don't want to set up a handful of campaigns with different smart lists every time I want to message this group.At another job, our email sending platform allowed me to set a rule on a campaign like, "send this email to 5000 customers/minute." Is there anything like that in Marketo? I can't find anything that allows me to control the rate at which messages are sent out. Again, I'm really looking for a solution other than "set up the same campaign 5 times with a different smart list attached to each one."

We're running into an issue where our anonymous leads are entering our scoring campaign causing our wait step for decaying the score to be ignored because they're becoming known after they are enter the campaign as anonymous. Has anyone else run into this issue or have a solution? We're having trouble finding a way to decay our scorings without including wait steps due to them being skipped because someone is entering our campaign as anonymous. Example campaign flow:Someone visits webpage on July 15 (still anonymous)July 16th fills out a form to become knownReceives scoring60 day wait stepScore decays*We're seeing the issue once they receive scoring, the 60 day wait step is ignored because they were anonymous when they entered the campaign.

I am not fluent in JS, but was trying to create an embed script to put a form on an outside page, while also allowing the CTA to be changed, as well as re-directing the thank you page based on the URL where the form was embedded. Hello There, Need your expert opinion. There are 30 different programs (list import, web content and email newsletter). I stored member of 30 programs in a static or smart list, but not able to populate "Acquired by" field. Is there any way where bulk members of program can be stored and segregate this 'Acquired by' field? 

Hello - I wanted to see if anyone knew of any limitations to using GIFs in Marketo emails? I had uploaded a GIF in the Design Studio and uploaded the image to the email. I was able to view the GIF just fine on a MAC, but was unable to see it on a PC. Thanks, Matt

Hi all! I understand that the sync between Marketo and Salesforce is bidirectional. I am trying to understand if a lead is created in SFDC, will that sync back to Marketo as a new person? (Assuming that record does not already exist in the Marketo database and that the program in Marketo is synced to SFDC Program) OR Will the lead fail/skip to sync over because that lead does not already exist in the Marketo Database? Simply, if a lead does not exist in the Marketo Database but they do exist in Salesforce, will they be created as a new person in Marketo?

We are having an issuewhen someone clicks a link in an email, it logs the clicked activity twice in the activity log. This is inflating clicked metrics and causing double, click scores to occur. I have checked for any other campaigns that could be causing the click to be recorded twice but there are no other clicked triggers that are influencing this. We did a test and found that only emails sent to Outlook are getting the double click logged. Was curious if anyone else has experienced this issue? TIA

Utilize Marketo's reporting to send a consolidated notification: Create an Email or Campaign Performance report.Tailor the report settings for the specific campaign.Schedule the report to be sent after campaign completion. I am trying to create a velocity script that will look at the Opportunity and the Opportunity Role in order to create a signature from the Opportunity Role. We have tried (we think!) everything at this point but cannot figure out why our Marketo and Facebook Leads ads is not connecting and syncing form fills back to marketo.   We are running a Facebook Ads campaign with a lead form for a downloadable asset. If working correctly, the form would trigger a marketo email in a smart campaign the the 'Fills out Facebook Lead Ads Form'. However our form name is not populating there. (Campaign can be activated if the trigger 'contains' the form name but no data is syncing and cannot be activated if the trigger 'is' exactly the form name')   We have run test leads on our Facebook ad and they are not syncing into our database at all.  We have the API set up in launch point under my facebook account, which also is an admin in facebook ads, facebook page, and facebook leads in business settings. Our facebook CRM connection to marketo appears to be working and is also connected in the leads integration section.    Does anyone h

This discrepancy can trigger security warnings in emails, as modern browsers and mail clients expect secure links that match the SSL certificate's domain.  SolutionTo address this issue, follow these steps: Ensure you have a custom landing page rather than the default domain. See under Admin > Landing Pages.Apply an SSL certificate to any new domains added. Marketo won't do this automatically. You can contact Marketo Support to request an SSL application for your domain. Provide necessary details.After SSL implementation, send test emails to check for proper HTTPS encryption and the absence of security warnings.   By implementing these actions, asset URLs and landing pages in Marketo communications should be secure.

Hi everyone,As far as I know, there should be a URL parameter included in our thankYouURL. I have seen this URL parameter appear in our thankYouURL from time to time, but it does not always show up.Are there any specific requirements that need to be fulfilled for an aliId to be added to the thankYouURL? For example:Does the form need to be on a Marketo landing page?Does the form need to be on an external landing page?Will the aliId only appear if there is no _mkto_trk cookie present?Does the ThankYouPage URL need to be on an external page?Etc.Do you know more about this?In the end, I want to extract the aliId from the ThankYouPageURL using JavaScript. Triggers are considered as initiating events that start the campaign, while filters are used to further refine the selection of leads based on specific criteria. Triggers are always evaluated with an OR logic, meaning if any trigger event occurs, the campaign will consider it for further action. IssueLeads were uploaded into Marketo with the wrong opt-in date and time, which also synced with Microsoft Dynamics 365.  SolutionTo correct the opt-in date and time, do the following.Update information in Marketo. Prepare and upload a corrected list for the leads.Confirm the opt-in field in Marketo is not blocked from updates. CRM Sync The corrected data in Marketo will auto-sync with Dynamics 365.If auto-sync fails, manually update the opt-in dates in the CRM. Additional Steps Check for any automated actions triggered by the wrong data and rectify them If needed.Confirm data accuracy in both systems after updates.Back up data before mass updates to prevent data loss.  

Who among us hasn’t looked up a Lead or Contact in SFDC while checking the corresponding person in Marketo? Ridiculously common for me, and even if it’s not exactly hard, there’s no one-click way to do it. Until now.   Just go to the SFDC Bookmarklet Maker and enter your SFDC “My Domain” in the top field:   The checkbox means each SFDC Lead/Contact opens in a new tab, instead of having a single SFDC tab that gets continually replaced (the default).   You can optionally change the title of the bookmarklet before dragging it. Click the pencil (🖉) to edit and the check (✓) to save:   Then drag the link to your Bookmarks bar:   Presto! Now, whenever you’re viewing a record in the Marketo Lead UI, clicking the bookmarklet takes you to the corresponding SFDC record.   Required: SFDC ID on your custom tab There is one prerequisite: the SFDC ID field needs to be somewhere on your Custom tab (the exact position doesn’t matter). We are planning to do a Landing Page Test Group testing out 2 versions of a landing page, from my understanding the URL will be the URL of the first landing page in the test group and once someone accesses the link they will be shown 1 of the 2 versions of the landing page at random. I am wondering if we could still use utm parameters like any other link for the test group URLs and that cause any issues for the A/B testing. Mostly using the utm parameters to track promo channel.

SummaryWhen attempting to approve snippet error Access Token is Invalid appears. Have the customer sign out and sign back in. Seems maybe they got logged out somehow. IssueWhen attempting to approve a snippet you receive  "Access Token Is Invalid" error. SolutionThe error can occur when your internet browser logs you out of Marketo in the background. To resolve, sign back in to Marketo and retry the approval. 

We added the LinkedIn Insights Tag to our Thank You LP Templates hoping to track the conversions from LinkedIn and following their instructions to add it to the footer right before the closing <body> tag. We have been testing but the conversion isn't registering in LinkedIn. Has anyone else experienced this issue or could provide some options we can do so we can track the LinkedIn conversion on the thank you page?
