Does anyone use "Activity Logged" as a filter in a Smart List determine if a contact/lead is active or engaged or not? It seems problematic as it appears that a lot of things that have little to do with engagement are logged. I am working with an inherited instance of Marketo and there is a smart list of "All Marketable Persons - Active Past 12 Months" and it uses that as a filter (among others that are valid.)   Does anyone have a smart list to create a list engaged contacts they'd be willing to share?

Hi We're having some issues deploying the Munchkin tracking code into our website as it's affecting our UI. We use the Bootstrap framework for lots of UI elements in the site, for example our main menu, which operates on click and is present on all pages in the site. We're finding that with the munchkin code deployed, the OnClick is firing twice and immediately closing the menu again. Does anyone have any ideas how we might be able to resolve this?

Hi everyone,    I faced a strange situation using a my.token for the href of a tracked link. For some reason marketo uses the VTL code as link target of the tracked link enstead of the code output.    I'm pretty sure this worked in the past. Did one of you had the same issue?   Kind RegardsWolframWhats the detailed situation? We receive a personalised link via webhook. This link is stored as in data field.  If we would use that link in our email everything would be fine. BUT the link contains the https protokoll and so it is not tracked.    To fix this we created an email script token. The theorie is pretty easy .... the script token removes the 'https://' using the replace methode. The https:// protokoll is hard coded in the email and ensures that marketo will track the link.    Adding this token to the email the link target url is shown correct in the preview. Hi team,    We're currently coming up against issues where our internal engineering team are sporadically using large volumes of API calls on our main Marketo account (our own product has a Marketo connector and they do occasional testing through an API user).    We recently spun up a Sandbox environment in addition to our Prod instance of Marketo. Our account has an API limit of 50,000 calls per day but I'm wondering if this is shared across both our main instance and the new sandbox, or whether the sandbox has its own separate limit, and therefore moving the API user across to the sandbox only could fix our issues?   I can't seem to find any documentation on API limits in relation to Sandbox environments so hoping someone knows more.   Alternatively, has anyone done anything clever on the Marketo end to restrict the number of API calls that a particular API user can make?   Thanks!

I've installed the Sales Insight package in a sandbox, but the "Priority" field is missing from Lead/Contact objects. Am I supposed to just go ahead and create these fields myself? That seems ridiculous.  The only thing in the package that has "priority" in the name is a field on the custom BestBetsCache object.

Hi All,   I am trying to set up my weekly email reporting, but am struggling with the new setup of the email filter. The filter tells me how many emails are selected, but doesn't visually show which these are. Up until this week, the setup tab had check-boxes beside the selected emails. I am generating a report for a large number of specific emails, so can't select entire folders. Does anyone have any advice on how to work around this?

Here's what's happening: We created a zoom user and a marketo user with admin permissions in each systemThe Zoom user has the Webinar featureWe created a LaunchPoint Service in Marketo with the Zoom Webinar user and logged in to Zoom in the LaunchPoint Service dialogWe scheduled a webinar in the Zoom application for a future time using this Zoom userWe then tried to create an event and when we selected Zoom as the Event Partner and selected the newly created Zoom LaunchPoint Service we received the error, "Account has no webinars scheduled"Does anyone know how we can fix this? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. 

Hi guys.   I started working with a company that has been with Marketo for 4 years but they didn't have Last Interesting Moment fields active, so I did and they liked them but I have empty fields for the contacts that were already in our DB... I was trying to figure out how to activate it backwards for leads that they captured during the past years, so basically the "{{trigger" details works different. I have their registration date and I want that to be copied to Last Interesting Moment Date, but that is not an option to edit.    I tried to tweak it and I ended up with a decent Last Interesting Moment, but my Last Interesting Moment Date is all messed up, showing the date I made the change (today) which is not correct.    I am basically realizing Last Interesting Moment can't be changed as flexible as other fields, so I am open to suggestions about how to populate these fields properly for past contacts.   Thank you.

We have Marketo forms embedded on a WordPress site. The forms have recaptcha turned on.  Lately, every so often, a form fails to submit and we get a "Submission failed, please try again later." message. When I look into it, I see a "errorCode 400, Captcha field missing in form".   We do *not* have WP Rocket or any other optimizer installed, so, there are not those settings to change that I have seen in other threads. We have difficulty to update email performance report setup.  Anyone has ideas or suggestions.   We used to have option to select and unselect individual emails under different folders.  Search function is not stable even though we have selected the right email, the report pulled the old data or no data came up. When we expand the folder for pulling reports, we only see part of the email folders even though we keep clicking Show More button.

In our January 2023 release we rolled out a new version of the modal that Report assets use to filter on assets. Due to customer feedback, we have decided to temporarily roll back these changes over the next two weeks for all customers in order to make some changes in how it was implemented.   Why was this change made? A goal of the Modern UX project has been to upgrade the underlying infrastructure that powers Marketo Engage. The asset tree (what you see on the left side of Marketo) was the first of these components that was upgraded to a new design that introduced new enhancements that increased scalability and performance. The asset filter modals in Analytics Report assets were the final areas of Marketo Engage that were still utilizing the legacy asset tree. Hi Marketo Users   I was wondering if there is a way to cap the number of emails a user can send. For example, The corporate team can send emails to 100.000 people per email program, region 1 can send 20.000, and region 2 can send 30.000, and so on...   We've been playing around with the smart campaign restriction limits but it's not quite what we want to do. Our biggest pain point is the email programs. If you put a cap on the smart campaign limit that is too high (100.000), the regions with fewer people can potentially send emails outside their region. If we cap too low (20.000), corporate needs to create 5 versions of the emails to be able to send 100k    Any way we can modify the admin section with code?    We do not want to change our practice and start sending emails blast (email programs) as default programs using batch campaigns and overriding the limit.    Any suggestion anyone???   Sandy, please help 🙂      &

Hi,   I have a problem with reporting/tracking e.g. a form fill:   If I create a regular SmartList to show how many filled out a form, I get X amount of leads. If I then create a People Performance report and make an identical smart list in the report, I get a different result.I am suspecting that it is because the report is only filtering on 'Person created at' under settings while the regular SmartList is filtering on 'activity' i.e. both new leads/contacts created and existing leads/contacts filling out the form.   Can someone confirm or deny and if so - how do you get a report to show activity and not just leads created?

We have a program that sets some program member custom fields (PMCF) which sync to campaign member custom fields. Generally, the sync is working fine. However, we are seeing an issue in this case: If the initial sync of a person fails (say there is a bad picklist value in a standard field) and then the issue gets fixed, when the person does finally sync to the SFDC campaign and becomes a member, the PMCF field values do not sync to the campaign member custom fields. It seems the only way to get the PMCF fields to finally sync is if the value in the field changes.    Is anyone else seeing this issue?    Thanks!

Is it possible to set up an email trigger that delivers the email after a lead has not been updated in one hour.We created a custom DateTime field that gets updated to the current time every time we sync data to the lead. We would like to send an email once that custom DateTime field is one hour in the past.

Something for my fellow push-it-to-the-limit Marketo pros.   Discovered this when sending a ton of debug info back from a custom deduplication webhook. (Not to map that info to Marketo fields, only to check the Call Webhook activity details.)   After 10 KB the response is truncated, meaning it becomes broken JSON overall and Response Mappings won’t work, even if the “real” fields were at the top.   Takeaway Be choosy about what you return for debugging. And don’t try to debug and get production/final responses at the same time.   On JSON size It’s rare to worry about the total byte size of a JSON response. Serializing to JSON is the last step — and may even be done automatically outside of your userland code. Until you serialize, you won’t know how many bytes are added by quotes, semicolons, and escapes, and how many are subtracted by removing undefined entries. Hi, We are integrating Marketo to Dynamics Microsoft 365. We noticed that the latest solutions to download and install on DCRM dates 2016 (6 years old)  Our CRM team has looked at the configuration notes and they are concerned that this solution might be too old and alter our CRM configuration. They are especially concerned about CRM configurations that have been done to update CRM in accordance with Microsoft CRM Releases.    Has anyone installed/ Integrated Marketo with Dynamics lately? In the last year? Our CRM - Version 9.2.22012.133 online   Any feedback on recent experiences is appreciated. Are there any major alterations to the current setup that we should be aware of? 

It took me way too long to figure out how to get anchors to work within an email so a link at the beginning can take you separate sections of the email. So I wanted to share my discovery to help relieve some headaches for others.   First, you use the "Insert Anchor" option when editing the rich text the link will be going to. Name the anchor something appropriate, especially if you're going to have multiple anchors within the email. In this example, I used "ToC_to_AWS_Articles". Then, on the rich text you will have viewers click on to go to the anchored point of the email, you're first going to highlight the text that will be clicked on. Then, select the "Insert/Edit Link" option. This is the most important step that took me way too long to figure out. When you're on the Insert/Edit Link field, you will add the anchor to the "URL" box. But when you add it in to that box, type it in with the "#" before the name of the anchor.
