Hello guys- We sent out an email with a link for content download to prospects. However, the utm parameters did not get transferred to our Salesforce instance. The link for download had utm values in it. What we are trying to understand is how do these utm parameters get captured in Marketo in this case and subsequently passed to the CRM.    

Hi All, We are currently tracking some unique values in Marketo custom object fields. However, we are not able to use the same in report column as there has to be a Marketo custom field present. So the ask is if there is any way we can read the values from those Marketo custom object fields into a Marketo custom field?   Thank you, Rohan

Dear Community, I am wondering if it is possible to send Marketo segmentation audience to Adobe Experience Platform (AEP). Or, at the very least, can we send smart list static list data to AEP? If either of these is possible, what is the way? I am currently using Marketo to create and manage my segmentation audiences. However, I am also using AEP to track my customer data and create personalized experiences. I would like to be able to use the same audiences in both platforms so that I can have a single view of my customers. I have done some research and I know that it is possible to send Marketo segments to AEP using the Core Services integration. However, I am not sure if this is the best way to do it. I would like to hear from the community if there are any other ways to send Marketo segmentation audiences to AEP. If you have any experience with this, please let me know. Hello,  I am looking at a way to capture the full referrer URL from the website page a person was on before they landed on our Marketo landing page and submitted the form. Most of the use cases I've been reading on the community have been for form embed on the website page, but that isn't our use case. We have a few product pages on our website that link to a Marketo LP, where we want to capture which product page they were on before submitting the form on a Marketo LP. Would like to include that full URL in an alert email to sales to help better understand which product pages they came from.   I am looking to understand if this is something we can do on the Marketo side or if it would be on the website side. Looking to get a step-by-step on what would be necessary to achieve this behavior. Hidden fields? Updates to the LP templates? JS?   Thanks! 

We're going through a security audit, and one of the requirements is to ensure that any jQuery usage is v3.0 or newer.  Unfortunately, RTP loads very old jQuery (1.8.3 - released Nov 2012) and jQuery UI (1.9.2 released Nov 2012) dependencies.   I understand that it is possible to file a ticket for Customer Support to remove those autoloaded dependencies -- usually so that you can take advantage of an instance of jQ that might already be loaded on-page.But what I'm curious about is whether anyone is taking advantage of this option, AND is using RTP with much newer versions of jQuery (>=3.0) + jQuery UI? I'm having a difficult time figuring out a way to test this without pre-emptively having Customer Support disable autoloading of those libraries.   Any experience or insights from the community would be greatly appreciated. Does anybody knows what happens in this case? For starters we have 3 duplicates in MKTO. A person has a cookie in his browser for one of the 3 duplicates. A clean up of the database is done, and 2 of the 3 are deleted and/or merged, also the person associated with the cookie. We have 1 person left. What happens if this person fills out a form with the email address of the one remaining lead - the lead associated with the cookie doesn't exist anymore Is the remaining lead updated with the form fill out data? Or is a person created in MKTO?

Hi Brains Trust, I'm hoping someone can help me!   I am currently building and testing the Zoom Webinar <> Marketo integration. I've set up the LaunchPoint service, can see all the webinars in our account, so all good there.    I have a test program in Marketo connected to a non-recurring webinar set in the future in Zoom.  I'm getting stuck with 'Change program status > Registered' (which then sends registration information to Zoom). I get this error message:   The channel of the program is Webinar.  The Event Partner is set to Zoom, Event Status is 'Scheduled Event' and all the details (name, description, number) all come up.    Any ideas on how to fix this error?    Thanks, Katie

I use the following UTM tokens for all URLs in my Marketo emails, to then track in GA: {{my.universal-UTM-campaign}}, {{my.universal-UTM-medium}}, {{my.universal-UTM-source}}   For x reason, 20-30% of my emails' UTM tokens are dropping/not picking up in GA. I don't think the issue is related to ad blockers because there would also be tracking drops for other marketing channels, which is not the case. Any leads for me to investigate?   Thanks,

What's the difference between the System Smart Lists, All People and the Total People in the Default tab?

We have a custom unsubscribe method where people get unsubscribed when they click on a link in the footer. This link takes them to a confirmation landing page ("You have been successfully unsubscribed"), but there is no form on it. I have a Smart Campaign that changes "Unsubscribe" to TRUE when they click on this link. However, i noticed that this unsubscribe method doesn't result in the "Unsubscribe from email" activity and those unsubscribes are not reflected in the Email Performance report.How can I make sure that these unsubscribes are being tracked in the report and result in "Unsubscribed from email" activity. Would adding ?mkt_unsubscribe=1&mkt_tok=##MKT_TOK## at the end of the link solve this issue?Thanks!

Hi there, I'm trying to use an email script token as a recipient for an email alert. I'm using this because the choice rules on the Flow are too way restricted for my necessity. The following is an example of what I'm doing.   The token itself works correctly: if I use it within the body email, it will be resolved correctly to the correct email address, but if I use it as a recipient, it is not working.  If I'm looking into the log, I can see the step executed correctly, but I'm not seeing the resolved token, just the name.     The main question is: can I use an email script token as an alert recipient? Second one: why it is not working?  

Hello Everybody,   I'm in the process of setting up a scoring model. And I am trying to set up the score decay.   What I want to do is to subtract X points if the record has not been updated in the past Y weeks.   For that I am using an "Updated At" field but I am unsure what operator to use as some of the options are not too descriptive (to me at least). Hi there,    We have been tasked to created the event registration process for a huge event coming up this year. They want a pdf file to be in the registration confirmation and reminder emails that will have a QR code for each session they have signed up for. The idea is that the pdf will probably contain multiple QR codes unique to each registrant and will be scanned when they enter the session in the event.    Is there a straightforward process for this? 🙂   

Hello-  I am trying to create a velocity script. For instance, I want anyone who has a 19 in the year segmentation to set date to 1990.    If Year contains 20 set Date to 2000 If Year contains 19 set Date to 1990 If Year contains 18 set Date to 1980   How do I write the script to achieve the above?

Hello,   Forgive me, I've searched for other topics that have discussed this and have come close but not quite.I want to tally the number of folks who overlap among my main lists. I have 10 main opt-in list categories I use in Marketo. I could easily run a report all the combinations of two different lists (I count 42 configurations), but once we get to more than two, it gets tricky, we could be talking hundreds of thousands of permutations of someone being on from one to ten of these individvuals lists. The most practical bird's-eye way of looking at this is I could do a distribution of tallies, so like --List 1:37 people on 9 other lists lists3320 people on 8 other lists5723 on 7 other lists...Lather, rinse repeat, for each individual list. Maybe do it in bar-graph form rather than listed out like this, but basically that's the most stensible way of doing it as far as I can tell.Anyone able to tell me specifically how to go about creating such a tally? With the new email template, we are now replacing button CTA editable zone with 2 variables (one for the URL, one for the text). This enables to limit actions from the user and the opportunities to break CSS styling of the link.The problem is that, some users are requesting to insert an email address in the link, to generate an <a href="mailto:email@company.com"> link type.When creating the link in a text element, the user may uncheck the "track link" box. But with Variables, there is no such dialog box, so we want to simply add the class="mktNoTrack" to the <a> tag. The template code would look like this:<a class="mktNoTrack" href="mailto:${CTAemailaddress}">${CTAText}</a>Will this has the effect of removing Marketo tracking on this CTA and therefore make it work as intended on all email clients?-Greg@Justin Cooperman​

Hi,  We have observed that some leads have blank webpage activity information for the last 7 days and this is mainly for API-created leads. We have a Dev. Sign up page and our Dashboard is sending the information to Woopra and then from Woopra to Marketo. The Munchkin cookie is working fine but not able to track the issue. Also, we are in the process to implement the Segment tool to our Tech Stack and have implemented the segment code to our brand website and other pages. Not sure if the Segment code is making some impact but open to know your thoughts.

Hi folks   I try to integrate Segment and Marketo as it would ease our life. Unfortunately, right now, it creates duplicates leads. Indeed, Marketo is not able to merge the anonymous Lead with the new lead who submitted the form. We've followed Segment's best practice. But unfortunately, it does not work (we are going to try the last advice, pass email in the call, and track call). Indeed, even if the field AnonymousId is not empty, the lookup is done through userId, so it creates a new user. Do you have any good advice to make this integration work?   Cheers, Kevin

We have been trying to integrate Segment with Marketo. However, while doing the testing, we found that Segment is creating duplicate leads in Marketo. One with Anonymous ID and blank email address, the other with an email address and the same anonymous ID. Sharing the lead journey for this use case.

Hi All,   We are looking to pass data back to Meta to help the algorithm learn what works for our business. Currently, Facebook Lead Forms are integrated with Marketo then data are being passed to SF. However, the unique identifier, “Lead ID” is not been synced to neither Marketo nor SF.   Is there a way to sync Lead ID from FB to Marketo or SF ?    Regards

I have created a new form and enabled reCAPTCHA v3.  When I add the said form to a Marketo landing page, the reCAPTCHA display text spills over the edge of form.  Please see attached image.    Any help or guidance on how to fix this would be much appreciated.  Thank you 

Is it possible to create a smart campaign to change Person Status after a period of inactivity? For example: if someone is in Open status and no new call activity has been logged, then flip them to Archive - Nurture after 45 days?    I have started setting up this smart list, but I have my doubts that the first filter will work as I want it (I think this will capture anyone who changed in the past 45 days, not exactly or more than 45 days ago) but I'm not sure what I should use instead.  Then in the flow, I would use change data value to update the status to Archive - Nurture. My organization is thinking of doing this plus automating Working status leads with no activity too.     

According to the post below it is possible to allow writing to account level fields.
