Hi Team,
We have implemented dynamic media for our project and we have a requirement to publish the asset to dynamic media.

We have 1000’s of images to move. What approach we can use here.
Selecting the asset and running the workflow for each asset will be very tedious task

    Hi @varun790

    Steps:

    1. Navigate to: Tools → Workflow → Bulk Workflow

    2. Click "Create Bulk Workflow"

    3. Set:

      • Payload Path

        /content/dam/your-folder-path
      • Workflow Model

        Scene7: Publish Assets
         or
        DAM Update Asset
      • Batch Size: 100-500 (depending on system capacity)

    4. Click "Create" and monitor progress

This is the standard, production-ready approach that Adobe recommends for bulk asset publishing to Dynamic Media.

Hi @varun790 , you can try the Bulk Workflow Manager from ACS Commons (not sure if thats what @PGURUKRISHNA mentioned). This utility from ACS commons has batch size, max parallel items, timeout etc which gives more control. And you can select Dynamic Media: Reprocess Assets as the workflow model.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks!

    Hi @varun790 ,

If you happen to have only images, then you can proceed with bulk update workflow approach as captured by Guru and RK. But if you happen to have a mix with videos too, ideal approach would be to run it via curl command.

I am sharing sample snippet which can work in case of videos. (Adobe recommended)

    FOR /F "usebackq delims=" %A IN ("batch1.txt") DO curl --ssl-no-revoke -u "username:xxxx" -X POST "https://author-.....adobeaemcloud.com/bin/replicate.json?cmd=activate" --data-urlencode "path=%A" -v

You can run in batches of 200-400 based on video size.

    Hi @varun790 ,
You don’t need to run the workflow per asset; use bulk workflows:

    1. Option 1 – OOTB Bulk Workflow (recommended, images + standard DM use)
      • In Author, go to: Tools -> Workflow -> Bulk Workflow.
      • Click Create Bulk Workflow.
      • Set:
        • Payload path: /content/dam/your-folder (or higher‑level folder)
        • Workflow model:
          • Dynamic Media: Process Assets or Dynamic Media: Reprocess Assets (depending on your setup)
        • Batch size: start with 100–200 and adjust based on system load.
      • Start and monitor the bulk run; all assets under that folder will be processed/published to Dynamic Media.
    2. Option 2 – ACS Commons Bulk Workflow Manager (if you have ACS Commons)
      • Use ACS Commons -> Bulk Workflow Manager, choose the same DM workflow (Dynamic Media: Process Assets / Reprocess Assets), set batch size + max parallel items, and target the DAM folder. This gives you more control for very large batches.

    Thanks,
    Amit

    Hi @varun790

use the manage publication on the main folder and make sure to go to Include Folder Settings and only check “include folder contents” and uncheck others.

This will publish all the assets and move them to dynamic media as well since it's configured.
