How to remove a users/groups deny permission ? I had faced this similar situations long time back and drafted the solution somewhere in my mail and forgot about it. But again today I faced a similar situation and the I bugged the internet to get a solution but with very less help. I couldn't find the exact solution except for few pointers here and there. So I went back and dig out all my old mails . I know many of you might have ended up in a similar situation where you by mistake "checked and unchecked" a permission which set a deny permission and this overlapped with another permission ending up in not letting the user access the content which he was supposed to access. Adding this solution here for those who might search the web for a solution for similar problem

Recently in our project we have requirement to open few pages which are created using specific template in editor.html while other in cf#. Since we are in AEM 6.2 and started creating components in touch ui but most of them are still in classic. AEM has configuration to set to open pages in editor.html or User can set the preference to open in editor.html but cannot open the page in editor.html based on template. Hi,As per the requirement, I need to custom properties while creating translation project. I'm trying to overlay the translation template by overlaying this path:/libs/cq/core/content/projects/templates/create-translation-projectand after that adding custom properties in jcr:content node of this template. After doing this, while I'm trying to create the translation project, those custom added properties are not reflecting in project.Can you please suggest way of doing that?Regards,Vijay

In classic ui dialog we have icon which gives us the image path but in touch ui image field is not having that feature. Hello! guysIn the project that I am working on, I noticed that the property of "cq:tags" (OOTB in AEM) in pages is not working as expected.  After save the dialog (page properties) it seems that a POST request is sent to the jcr:content node of the page with the value selected but then seems that a listener or something in the core of AEM is trying to delete the value on this property.  I figured out in the log and found this: *INFO* [sling-oak-observation-552] com.day.cq.tagging.impl.TagValidatingEventListener invalid/duplicated tags detected at /content/project/relative_path/page/jcr:content/cq:tags modified by user8923: 'namespace:name/23235' => ''But I really do not know why is trying to delete the value, because first, the tag exist because is selected from the wizard dialog for tags and is not duplicated.So, it seems that the property value is deleted after and for this reason the cq:tags in the JCR is saved as empty string.Could anybody help me to have an initial possible sol

Hi, is there a way to reset/flush the JDBC connections pool programmatically?  I've configured a connection to a MySQL database via the Apache Felix Web Console and it seems like I can accomplish this by clicking on the "Reset" button in the JDBC Connections Pool dialog.  However, is there a way to do this using the DataSourcePool object (which I have access to in an AEM component via sling.getService(DataSourcePool.class).The reason why I want to do this is because the connection appears to be getting dropped intermittently with the following error message:SQL state is 08S01, message is Communication link failure: java.net.SocketException, underlying cause: Connection resetI've tried playing around with the pool size but it hasn't resolved the issue.  Any help would be much appreciated.  Thanks.

Hi Team,I have written a code using query builder api where i am using nodename as a predicate to fetch the jcr content data. It was working fine in lower environments but in production it is not giving any result. Using query builder debugger tool with correct xpath query it is loading infinitely if the predicate has nodename but with property it is giving result.Please help.Thanks

In Aem 6.3 if we are dropping the component then until we manually  refresh the page the component is not seen in parsys. So I want to write the custom listener which helps me like when I drag and drop the component its editconfig part appears I don't need to refresh the page.

Hi,I have the requirement to create a JCR package of a single page, the package must not contain subpages but the order of the subpages must be included in the package.I tried to create a package with a filter (e.g. /content/myProject/myPage) and added two rules (exclude /content/myProject/myPage/*.* and include /content/myProject/myPage/jcr:content). After importing this package on an other aem instance the page itself (inlcuding jcr:content) will be installed but the order of subpages will not be changed.Has anybody an idea how to solve this problem?regardsReinhard

Hi all,I'm adding some default values in a multyfield via javascript. There is a check box on which I have a listener and if it is checked loop over the selection items of the multifield and adding items with values. On first open of the dialog and check the checkbox values are populated fine, but if I disable the checkbox, click ok. Then open again the dialog click on the check box and the stored values are not populated. There is only addItem. When I click on add item it opens the field but with broken view. Then I shoud extend the dialog and now all values are displayed correctly. Any ideas how can gix this issue.Regards

HI everyone, AEM 6.1.    I get a 403 Forbidden, on a Post action, because the referrer host is not allowed. My referrer host is:  subdomain.domain.comSo I added in the config :    org.apache.sling.security.impl.ReferrerFilter.config    allow.hosts.regexp=[".*"]This works as it should, but it leaves it quiet open and I try to narrow it down. But every single regex is not working:    allow.hosts.regexp=[".*\.domain\.com"]    allow.hosts.regexp=[".*.domain.com"]    allow.hosts.regexp=["(.*)\.domain\.com"]Is this a bug or do I use the wrong regex flavor? Am trying to push my local code to remote Server, In my pom.xml I gave HostName,PortNumber, username and password (dynamic ) from maven command line arguments, in that time am getting error Un-authorized to hit the server, If i gave hardcode username and password in my pom.xml i can able to deploy my code in remote server, How i can get rid of Hardcoded value and pass as arguments in Command line.We set up the bamboo job to deploy our code in remote server, still bamboo is throwing Un-authorized error.Command am using : mvn clean install -PautoInstallDevPackage -U -Daem.host=HostName -Daem.port=PortNumber -DUserName=UserName -Dpassword=Password (Created profile for autoInstallDevPackage in my parent pom.xml)Suggestions are most welcome.

Because the cq:tags page property is a string field type, I was hoping I could use Bulk Editor to apply bulk cq tag updates to pages.  However, because it is a multi-value string field, I have had difficulties doing so.  I sense some custom configuration of this app is necessary to allow this.Out of the box, should I be able to apply page tags to pages using Bulk Editor import?  If so, I must be mis-formatting my tags when I have multiple values. I appreciate your help

Hi,I am trying to use AEM BulkEditor to export/import metadata for my assets.  When I search for assets, its returning all the subassets as well.  For example, I have pdf file called /content/dm/gmassets/samplefolder/searchTOLogicalflow.pdf that has 4 pages.  When I search in BulkEditor, results grid shows me 4 subassets, one for each page.  Is there a way to filter these out.  I tried several query parameters like mainasset:mainasset=true but nothing has worked.  Can anyone suggest a way to remove these subassets from results?Thanks,Manisha

Hi, I am not able to login in AEM publish instance through web browser - <my_publish_instance_ip>:4503/crx/packmgr/index.jsp But if I test the same from replication agent, it says "Test connection successful"Also if I check it from CURL , like curl -u admin:admin http://localhost:4503/crx/packmgr/service.jsp?cmd=ls  It works. Can you please help me understand the issue.

Hi,I am writing a custom component with event handlers (Touch UI - Using AEM 6.2. ) for dialog fields using the example provided.
