Is it possible to configure the DITA Profile to use the dita command instead of ant?

We make updates to our PDF plugins to support new languages or fix formatting issues. We test these changes locally before deploying the update to our instances. I would prefer to run the local tests using the data command, as this is the supported option for the DITA-OT. Is it possible to configure the DITA Profile in Guides to do the same?

@1huntley : currently we support "ant" in the publishing procedures.

But we plan to also support the option to use dita in future.
