hyperlink to external website from an image in AEMaaCS

How can I hyperlink to an external website from an image in AEM as a Cloud Service? I select the image, click Insert Cross Reference | Web Link, and drop in the URL. The software appears to let me add the hyperlink but when I publish to a PDF, the link appears and the image is gone.

Hi @khristine_j_

Which cloud release version of Guides are you using?

Adding external link to an image and publishing to PDF rendered both the image and link in the generated PDF. Verified on latest cloud release and on-prem builds.

Example:

<p><xref href="http://adobe.com" scope="external"><image href="GUID-1bdb9ea7-f567-4913-acf7-d689e35b988c.jpg" id="image_2">
</image></xref></p>

Please try this and let us know if it works!
