ePub Output Not Listed in Map Console

Does anyone know why ePub is listed as a default output in the XML Documentation Tools (Folder Profile), but isn’t listed in the default output list in Guides’ Map Console?

 

How can I generate an ePub output using the DITA-OT?

 

I can see from a previous post I made that the ePub output failed on all attempts 3 years, but now it isn’t even listed as an option in the Map Console.

Answer: You can still generate an ePub, but you must do it from the old Map Dashboard, NOT the newer Map Console.

EPUB is not currently exposed in the newer Map Console.

The output-preset lists differ between the Map Console and the legacy Map Dashboard. To generate EPUB, open the DITA map from Assets using Open in Map Dashboard, go to Output Presets, select Create, choose EPUB, and set Generate EPUB Using to DITA-OT. Save the preset and generate the output.

The fact that EPUB is listed in the Folder Profile does not mean it will appear in the Map Console. Adobe's documentation currently lists EPUB as a Map Dashboard output preset.
