Condition Presets Blanking Out

I’ve seen this happen if you update the output presets in a Folder Profile. I haven’t seen it otherwise.

​@sschnelbach Yes, this has been seen before with AEM Guides condition presets. There isn’t a documented, generic “auto‑reset” feature for them, so when a preset’s rules disappear later it usually points to how/where the preset is stored and edited, not user error.

 

In AEM Guides, condition presets are defined at DITA map level (Map Dashboard → Condition Presets tab) and then referenced from output presets (Apply Conditions Using → Condition preset). Presets contain:

• A default action (Include / Exclude / Passthrough / Flag)
• A list of attribute/value rules (audience, platform, product, etc.) with actions per row

This model is described in Use condition presets and Introduction to the Map Dashboard.

If the preset exists but shows “nothing selected”, it usually means the preset node is still there, but its attribute rows were lost or never re‑saved.
