AEM Version Purge is not complete and showing Status: Purging in progress…

Hi,

We recently upgraded our guides 4.3.1 and as part of testing we observed an issue with the Version Purge tool. We triggered purging with small test content and is not complete. We see that the Status:Purging in progress… from long time. The Abort purge operation also not working.

@beaula123 we can manually set the status as "PURGING_ABORTED" for the property "state" at node "/var/dxml/versionpurge". This would force abort the purging. Then we can try purging again, and refer to the logs for the job-

to see why it is getting stuck
