Is it safe to reinstall the running AEM instance to E drive from C drive

Hi,

We have installed AEM 6.5 on C drive and due to some disk space issue, we need to move the installation to E drive on Production. Its is a on premise AEM

Is it safe to copy the entire AEM folder from C to E by stopping and then starting after the files are copied to E drive on production.

Are are any internal references to C location within the application, once its installation and running.

Appreciate any assistance here. Thank you.

Hello @SmrithiGo 

 

If your AEM installation is standalone OSGI, then you can move your installation between the drives.

Just stop AEM cleanly, make a zip file and move the file between the driver, unzip it.

You should be good to go.

    yes, its a stand alone application installed on windows on premise

    If it is just OSGI and not JEE, you can safely move the installation.
