Adobe Experience Manager Edge Delivery Services

Adobe documentation for Edge Delivery services mentioned about merging code into the main branch. Should all pull requests go straight to the main branch for the live site, or can we create separate develop and release branches like in typical AEM projects?

In our Edge Delivery Services, we're utilizing document-based authoring with a SharePoint repository and storing all documents in the website root folder. How should we manage documents created for testing and development, such as those for QA, Dev, and Staging environments?

In Edge Delivery Services, when using document-based authoring, how can we restrict access to data in the website root, such as Excel and JSON files, to prevent external users from accessing them?

I created a EDS project using boiler-plate project from github. I have configured AEM Code Sync as well. I am having a Gdrive location and I have added Sidekick plugin in my chrome browser.  I can able to access *.aem.page and *.aem.live pages. I understand our code will be moved to code bus via AEM Code Sync app and content will be fetched using Sidekick by content bus. When a user requests a page, Helix admin takes the code from code bus and content from content bus and assets from media bus then dynamically renders the page and send it to CDN.  My doubts are, 1) where is this helix admin running? I have just created the project and configured AEM Code Sync and Sidekick. What these tools are doing actually. Are those pushing code and content to where? Where is Helix Admin actually running?2) There is no CDNs like akamai, fastly or any other CDNs are configured. But I can access the *.aem.page and *.aem.live pages immediately after clicking on preview and publish button

I am doing a POC on EDS/Franklin. When i followed the tutorial and upload word docx instead of google doc. The site does not load. What is the format of document expected in share point ?

Hi,I have added a config.json file under the /tools/sidekick directory in my root folder. Inside the file, I have added the plugins. After that, I pushed my changes to the main branch of my GitHub repository. The customizations should be available, but I am not able to see those changes. I have cleared the cache and reloaded the page, but I still cannot see the updates. Hi All.I publish some content from Universal Editor to Edge Delivery Services. I noticed that data-align attribute is carried over, but only with correct values (left, center, right), so I try with other css property, for example text-align and background-color, but nothing happens.Are there any documentation about this things?Regards,Alessandro

Hi,In a project can it be a scenario where some pages are developed using document-based authoring and others using WYSIWYG authoring in the universal editor if so how can it be achieved? Also, can we edit pages created using document-based authoring in universal editor? thank youcc : @arunpatidar 

Hi, I have a requirement where I have to use the content fragment on one of the pages of the edge delivery services project, and I want the content fragment to be editable as well from a universal editor, how can this be achieved?The fields present in the content fragment should be editable via a universal editor and whatever fields are authored should be saved as well on content fragmentplease help me resolve this Thank you

HI all, Using the X-Walk approach have a question regarding EDS. I learned that whenever we add content to Universal Editor it goes directly to EDS. However, I am unsure how to send content authored in an AEM content fragment to EDS, rather than accessing it through AEM Publish. Could you please let me know if it is possible to send content fragments to EDS  ? My goal is to send all the CFs to EDS and fetch it directly via Frontend.Thanks. 

Does Adobe provide a sample content package for wknd implementation using the x-walk? I know there have created sample content using document based authoring. My question is more related for the site structure, best practices , inheritance level and so on.@arunpatidar

I have followed all the steps mentioned in the official documentation for the rendering form, but I was unsuccessful.Instead of showing the form the page shows me the link and I don't know what went wrong but it looks like I am not able to get the form rendered on the page.doc file : I have used the template provided by Adobe for the tutorial:   aem-boilerplate-forms please let me know what exactly am I doing wrong here, Thank you

I am trying to use the x-walk approach for Adobe Edge Delivery Service.I know that we have a template package provided  by adobe to be imported while creating the EDS site in AEM.But how do i create different custom templates with different set of blocks components as a starting points to use in different scenario, like homepage, contentpage, blogpage?

There are documentation that states Edge and on-prem can be used together. Has anyone implemented this and seen any issues or common pitfalls with this setup?

I see loads of advantages of going for EDS , especially in case of SPA. But, if there is a need to download/make the page accessible when offline, I notice css is getting applied, but JS errors are encountered. Export issues and cors issues are present. Appreciate any suggestions / alternate approaches for this.

Hi, I am exploring the sidekick options in Franklin where I stumbled upon the asset extension. Can we access our AEM Assets (DAM) via the sidekick ? or what is the asset configuration it supports? If the AEM DAM can be accessed, how can we configure the sidekick to access the AEM Assets.  Additionally, May I know what are the additional benefits of going for licensed version of Franklin?
