Is it possible to share assets in the DAM with other websites in WP or another CMS?

It depends on the requirement here.
Are you trying to share assets internally with your organization authors? - You can simply share published Asset URLs.
Or the need is to share assets externally? - You can use some portal like Asset Share Commons/Brand Portal (paid subscription).
Are these public assets or they need some kind of authorization before they become downloadable? - You would need to implement authorization on the website to restrict/show assets to authorized users only.
