Adobe Experience Manager Assets

Hi team, May i know how to create or upload a folders in content hub. I could see assets can be uploaded but not folders, though we have a collection option i am more looking for folders option

Hello allI'm trying to understand the differences and usecases of on/off and expiry time for assets. The setup that I have in place is an author instance and a dynamic media server configured to the author. And I'm on AEMaaCS.Problem 1When an asset is published/unpublished from author, it gets published/unpublished from the DM as well. This activity updates the CRX properties to either Activate or Deactivate based on the operation carried out,1. cq:lastReplicationAction2. cq:lastReplicationAction_publish3. cq:lastReplicationAction_scene7Properties 1 and 2 are working as expected, for both publication/unpublication. Property 3 gets updated to Activate when an asset is published from author, but it doesn't change back to Deactivate when the same is unpublished. I've verified in DM that the asset got deactivated, but for some reasons the property is not getting updated in AEM. Any thoughts why?Problem 2I understand that the scheduled activation/deactivation works based on the co

Hello,I am trying to update the Dynamic Media configuration to restrict certain MIME types (e.g., documents and PDFs) from being published or processed by Dynamic Media. Due to legal constraints and compliance requirements, we cannot store these types of documents on Dynamic Media as it is hosted on a public server.Could anyone assist me with how I can prevent these MIME types from being published to Dynamic Media?Thank you.

Hi Brains Trust, On onsite AEM DAM I am facing a challenge - users can upload files with the same filenames that already exist in the library. Some filenames are the same, but have either first capital letter or lower case... I want to block such option. Anyone uploading a file with the filename that already exists on the library (case not sensitive) should be notified and not allowed to upload unless file is renamed.  Does such feature exist or is possible on AEM DAM? Thanks

Hi, I recently took over a 6.5 AEM DAM with thousands of images on it. I have been tasked to audit the assets - keep relevant, delete / archive old and unreferenced.I do not have coding / developer access so will strictly use interface only. Is there someone who went through similar task and can share what they did? Here is what I think I will do:- Export folder CSVs. Which selective properties should I be choosing - Date Created, Date Uploaded, Referenced By (does CSV include this?)?- Then in Excel sort by Referenced and not Referenced, then sort by date created and uploaded. - Review images older than 5yrs and decide - keep or purge. This will be hard because I will have to visit each image individually. Unless - Is there a way I can tell the AEM through CSV which assets to purge? I could do that in bulk. Or is there a better way?  Many thanks

Issue: Auto publishing of Remote DAM assets/Connected Assets from Sites after updating the assets in Remote DAM In AEMaaCS , have both AEM Sites and Assets program separately and configured connected assets for Assets SYNC.  When author updates assets in AEM assets program there is a sync operations runs in AEM sites for every 5 minutes (as per adobe) and updated the corresponding assets in AEM sites but won’t publish to the website. Looking for assets to be auto publish once the SYNC gets completed. I tried following optionsWorkflow Launcher to activate the assets which runs multiple workflows and keep on runningAuto publish workflows in Assets folder properties which runs only if the assets get modified in the AEM sites instance (i.e. Locally modified) not working if the assets modified in AEM Remote DAM assets.  Verify that there are no special Latin characters when importing asset metadata.Select the UTF-8 Unicode type if the metadata is stored in Excel and you intend to save it as a CSV.Consider exporting metadata for specific custom properties only.Ensure that the custom namespace is correctly registered, as builds in CM will fail otherwise.Make sure an index is created for the custom properties.Always take a copy of the damAssetLucene index from the same version of production or the latest version to create a custom index; failing to do so will result in a build failure in CM.Renaming is not supported in Azure Storage; assets must be recreated, so avoid modifying assets in Azure Storage.Always enable duplicate detection, though it only applies to the first 100 assets.Keep the number of search filters limited, as using too many fields in the request header can overflow it and cause the search to fail. Depending on the situation, exceeding the limit may lead to Fastly closing the clien

Hi, I am currently facing an issue with the migration of asset metadata from one aem instance to another aem instance using the App Builder. While i have successfully able to migrate the asset and their metadata from one aem instance to another. I have noticed that the metadata values are being copied to the jcr:content node instead of correct location under jcr:content/metadata. It causing, where not able to see the values of the metadata fields in the asset properties. Also just noticed that dc:title is getting copied to jcr:title under jcr:content. Below is the piece of code i am using to update metadata. Please let me know how i can correct and solve the issue.// Update the asset metadata in target AEM targetAemUrl, accessToken2, targetFolderPath, asset, metadata, loggerasync function updateAssetMetadata(targetAemUrl, accessToken2, targetFolderPath, assetName, metadata, logger, retryCount = 3) {const updateUrl = `${targetAemUrl}/api/assets/${targetFolderPath}/${assetName}

Hello - Is anyone else having issues with the OOTB tag merge/move function in AEM?When we merge/move a tag, it will merge, but it will not stay in the asset properties after we add the new tag to an asset via the tag field. This is happening in dev and prod. (Access isn't part of the issue.)

There is an issue in AEM DAM where multiple assets are sharing the same dam:sha1 value, despite being distinct files. These assets were uploaded via a different server, and when downloaded, they have a file size of 0 KB and most of them has status: Error [Upload failed]. AEM version: 6.5 What could be the cause of these assets having the same dam:sha1 value, and how can this issue be resolved? Thanks.

Hi,We have a requirement to do full text search while we search from the AEM Assets Search ConsoleExample: Suppose I search with key word "apple" it would result me 10 assets, ifI search with key word "mango" it would result me 10 assets. If i search with "apple mango" it is resulting 0 assets but it should result 20 assets. How to perform this using OOTB features Regards,Devi  @arunpatidar @estebanbustamante

My organization has permanently licensed hundreds of Adobe stock photos. We'd like to import these into our DAM but have run into several issues:1. It's only possible to select a page with 10 photos at a time and each one has its own download button, it doesn't appear possible to do a bulk download let alone that of a single page. If download icon is selected after multiples are checked, only the first image is downloaded. 2. If this functionality is available, is it possible to transfer these stock photo assets we've purchased directly into the DAM since they're both Adobe programs?3. If not, can a request be made to Adobe to bulk transfer these assets to a specific One Drive location? We have over 2K photos and downloading one at a time is not how any customer wants to spend their time.

Hi All, We want to migrate assets from one CMS to Aem as a cloud. As the license for AEM assets is not available, we cannot use Bulk Import functionality of AEM assets.ACS commons MCP asset ingestor is not available on AEM as a Cloud so we cannot use that as well. What is the solution we have OOTB to do a Asset migration. Can we use Desktop Tool for this. Or do we need to write a Custom Solution if we dont have aem assets license.

Hi Experts Problem Statement: I am reaching out here to help address a baffling problem that happened to 2 publishers in our production ecosystem:Error logs show below ScriptEvaluationException:Caused by: org.apache.sling.api.scripting.ScriptEvaluationException: An exception occurred processing JSP page /apps/<clientname>/components/page/business/page-business-basepage/redirect.jsp at line 47 Impact: The impact was that the content page belonging to these templates which had redirect.jsp inclusions started to still serve content but with a response code of 404 causing downstream systems to malfunction for over 10+ hours causing a huge surge in 404s as well. Short-Term Resolution: Though the issue got resolved via a fsclassloader reset followed by instance reboot, but we are trying to understand how this issue could have happened in the first place. More points from our diagnosisThis has never happened before and hasn't been repeated after that.We have looked a

We are using DAM as a centralized repository and we want to track the usage of assets consumed from AEM. OOTB we have asset insights but that is not working when it comes to usage , it only increase the count if we create a collection within AEM but for external sources we have no track. Did anyone implemented such use case where we need to track the asset usage from aem for external systems.   Version : AEMAACS

Hello, I want to edit hotspots, but how do you share them? I am not allowed to share. Is there a guide on how to share the hotspots for (image with hotspots)?Thank you!

I want to add a button on asset tool bar, when I hit custom button a pop should be appear and in pop all selected asset should be list,For example we have already a button Share link, and when we click on share link then a pop is appeared with list, see the below screenshot, Similarly I want a new custom button and in pop a list display for all selected assetThankyou

We use AEM Asset Videos but they appear they do not have thumbnails under Renditions in the DAM. When you look under Renditions only original MP4 is there. Also when one adds a video using the DAM browser a front end error occurs in AEM Editor because assetSelectedEvent.thumbnail is undefined. I was reading some articles here that one needs Adobe Dynamic Media https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-65/assets/dynamic/scene7.html?lang=en. Is that a hosted solution? How can one obtain MP4 thumbnails in Assets without Adobe Dynamic Media? function handleSelections(control, state, selections) {var API_ASSETS = "/api/assets";var ASSETS_PREFIX = "/content/dam";var assetPath = selections[0].value;var jsonAssetPath = assetPath.substring(ASSETS_PREFIX.length);$.get(API_ASSETS + jsonAssetPath + ".json").done(function(data) {if (!data.properties || !data.properties.metadata || !data.properties.metadata["dc:format"])return;var thumbnailLink = data.links.find(funct

we are using central dam which is connected to the sites dam, our central dam is configured with dynamic media.   we have the latest content in prod which we want to sync to stage, the architecture is the same.  How do we plan a full content sync to stage. so that the dynamic media references are not pointing to prod and connected assets dont break

Hi Team, Any plugins  for performance & Security violation or AEM OOTB feature use by developer Before release to testing team/production  . When we apply a metadata profile to a child folder of a parent with a metadata profile we have to choose which profile to use. It doesn’t inherit the data down to the children. For example, we have a profile for Brand attached to the Brand folders. Then we have subfolders under those for the Lines of Business that have profiles attached to them. Ideally, I can create a profile for Brand and one for Line of Business. I’d like to apply the Brand profile to the Brand folder and then apply the Line of Business profile to the Line of Business folder and see the data collected from the Brand folder passed down to the Line of Business one. We have Brand and Line of Business folders in multiple places in our DAM so not being able to pass down the data collected is going to create a crazy amount of metadata profiles which will become very difficult to manage from an admin perspective. So I’m hoping there might be something existing at the moment or in the works that will allow us to pass the me

Hello dear Community!!!I am the best in finding new problems ;DWhat i discovered today: Brandportal does not automatically gets tags unpublished that are deleted from the AEM instance. So our BP contains a lot of those OOTB tags that we deleted very early on in the project 😄"Standard Tags" for example... Now i want to clean up the Brand Portal and this "Standard Tags" is not that easy to get rid of.Since i can not delete / unpublish a tag from BP - i created a new namespace "Standard Tags" in AEM, then unpublished it. No effect. Then i published it to BP and found that the "Standard Tags" in BP seems to be different than the one i created. But i can not see how it is different ;(So, dear BP users, did you figure out a way to keep your BP tags clean? /clean it up after the fact...Did you know a way to get rid of those ooooooooold tags that nobody knows what the settings exactly were? And to you, dear Adobe: Please allow the Brand Portal admin a little bit more than it is curr
