Adobe Experience Manager Assets

Hi team, We could not see Adobe Express editor in content hub on selection assets. PFA. Please let me know the steps to make it available.

AEM assets in CS.  Metadata writeback looks to work fine on original asset, but we see no metadata being propagated to renditions.  Does something additional need to be configured in the launcher to specify a specific rendition to writeback to?    Lots of documentation saying you can do this, but no info on how.   Does metadata writeback also apply to dynamic media renditions as well? Thank you! Jim P

Hi,We have noticed that the shared link generated through the "share link" functionality in AEM assets is not working (giving a blank page). This was working, and it looks like this issue started occurring after the AEM (cloud service) upgrade to 2024.8.17465.20240813T175259Z. Has anyone faced something similar, or is there any change introduced recently to this functionality that is causing this? Thanks,Rahul

I am trying to create a content fragment using the post request using /api/assets, it is working fine for all the other Content Fragment Data Type but not for the Data Type JsonObject. Below is the request i am trying and it is not working. But if i pass a single object in my jsonArray, my content fragment is getting created. Please let me know if there is any other way other than creating a content model and referencing it.http://localhost:4502/api/assets/project/content-fragments/en_GB/myModel/tesModel{   "properties":{      "cq:model":"/conf/cuk/settings/dam/cfm/models/myModel",    "elements": {              "jsonObject" : {            "value" :  [              {                "name" : "Name 1"               },            &nbsp

Hey, Wondering if there is a simple, end user friendly solution (not having to write a 5 page code, or any at all) to change the default folder thumbnails look. It is clear how to change the thumbnail, so lets skip that part. Currently all thumbnails are covered in black shade that takes 70% of the thumbnail image. What's the point of having a thumbnail feature if it is covered with black or white shade? It makes no sense... This option neither shows the thumbnail, nor makes it easy to read the folder title due to transparency in the shade. Same applies to the collections... images with people have their faces covered by white shade. See attached for reference. AEM DAM 6.5 needs a bit of an aesthetic revamp. Many thanks

Hi all, I'm looking to understand further details on the AEM Digital Librarian certification exam:Once I register for the exam, how soon do I need to take it?Is this open book/open note? Also, are there any additional resources for prepping for this exam? I've been working with AEM for a year and I've taken the two relevant Learning Path courses. I've also done the practice test for this credential.  Any other advice or recommendations is welcome. Thank you!

I wonder if there is a way to add an asset to a Batch Set Preset but instead of matching a naming convention, to match it based on a metadata property. Let's say that I have Assets with a metadata property which is an array of Strings: jcr:content/metadata/dam:myCodes And when I upload images that has this metadata property with values:  my_testing_asset_one.png 3025070-100 7002011-369 6036221-045   my_testing_asset_two.jpeg 3025070-100   my_testing_asset_three.tif 7002011-369 5234620-136  It gets assigned to a Batch Set per one of myCode, and each site in Scene7 as follows will display: https://company.scene7.com/is/image/projectName/3025070-100_is?req=imagesetprojectName/my_testing_asset_one, projectName/my_testing_asset_two https://company.scene7.com/is/image/projectName/7002011-369_is?req=imagesetprojectName/my_testing_asset_one, projectName/my_testing_asset_three https://company.sce

Hi, I want to run a report of assets in a folder with custom columns for the metadata properties dam:sha1{{String}} and xmpMM:DocumentID{{String}}. I can see these columns and their values when I export all metadata of a folder, but due to a large volume of assets I don't want to export all metadata. What would I enter into the 'Property to Map' field to get these values in my report? Thanks!

I searched for the term "contrary" in reference implementation in the search bar and only got a PDF. I was expecting both PDF and Word doc to show as search results as both had the same text and content. I am not sure if ASC supports search based on text/contents within the document. Can someone confirm if full-text content search within docs is supported in ASC?https://aem.enablementadobe.com/content/asset-share-commons/en/light.html?fulltext=contrary&1_group.propertyvalues.property=.%2Fjcr%3Acontent%2Fmetadata%2Fdc%3Aformat&1_group.propertyvalues.operation=equals&1_group.propertyvalues.1_values=application%2Fvnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.wordprocessingml.document%2Capplication%2Fpdf%2Ctext%2Fplain&orderby=%40jcr%3Acontent%2Fjcr%3AlastModified&orderby.sort=desc&layout=card&p.offset=0&p.limit=1

Hi Team,Is there any way to fix the position for a custom asset toolbar button. Kindly suggest. Thanks in advance!

Is it possible to have folders show a numeric value/count on how many assets are within that folder? For example, we have a lot of folders that are currently empty however it isn't possible for a user to know that unless they click into the folder. We may just delete these folders for now if we can't show a numeric value/count on the folder level.

While viewing assets in list view, we would like to add column options, like metadata from Workfront and tags. Is it possible to edit what columns show? See screen shot.

Hello there! Is there a way to run AEM SDK (Cloud) locally without the AEM Sites capabilities, booting it with features supported on a AEM Assets-only instance. Thanks

Can I upload HTML projects that comprise more than one file to my AEM website? I want to upload SCORM files, which are HTML at the core, but include font, images, etc. for learning courses. We're not ready to use Adobe Learning Manager nor do we need Adobe Connect at this point.

Hello AllWe have a business problem. Before the problem let me set the context. We use on-prem AEM 6.5 and also AEM Assets as a DAM. Over last 3 years, business and product groups have been using DAM without following much best practice around Metadata. Also, as product portfolio like models names, technical specs keeps on changing, new metadata fields become more important to be included. Also, we have not used Alt+Text field which is causing issues in SEO and ADA compliance. Is there a standard method using ACS tools for Asset Retagging? I understand for folder level metadata schema, only the new assets inherit the schema and not legacy assets. These assets are live on production site. We want to have a nifty solution with automation and hardly any manual effort.

Hi ,  When we are authoring images on a dynamic media component they are appearing stretched and pixelated.

I am trying to get a list of all live URLs using ACS common report feature. For Page Report for a site, what should be the path field?

Does anyone know if Adobe has plans to make AEM Assets understand InCopy files? I'd love to see Asset Link for InCopy, as well as for AEM Assets to understand the file format and prompt the user to update the link to an InCopy file that's been modified and placed back in AEM Assets. Currently if you modify a photo or Illustrator file that resides on AEM Assets and re-open an InDesign file that has a link to that asset, ID prompts you to refresh the link and you can see the changed asset in your ID file. This same workflow does NOT work with InCopy files. You CAN link to an icml file on AEM Assets, but you can't do the same with icma files. And if you DO link to an icml file on AEM Assets, it appears to break the functionality of it being an InCopy file, so the little icon is removed from the text frame. Updating the icml file on AEM Assets doesn't prompt InDesign file to refresh it. As soon as I relink to a local icml file, it refreshes and adds the little icon back to the text

Can someone please explain the functionality and intention of the Adjust and Republish check boxes when you go to move an asset in the Assets view?I can't find documentation that defines them. Based on what I can cobble together on my own using the discussion boards, it looks like Adjust would update any links that reference the asset. Is this correct? If you didn't check the box, what happens? Does it impact published links? Thanks!

Currently we like to achieve the following with our AEM and Dynamic Media:   We upload a PDF into the AEM, it is getting synced to DynamicMedia(DM) and published. In the DM-Classic Windows App I can get the AssetFile-URL that opens the PDF in the browser if opened.   But from AEM perspective we like to achieve that our users are able to get the same URL or any kind of view for that PDF. Currently we check the renditions view of the assets for the dynamic renditions, we got a image-preset but if you follow that URL you only get page-1 of that PDF as image. But we would like to get the pdf or at least all pages as image of that document.   Any ideas how to achieve that? Do I achieve that by configuration of the AEM / Dynamic Media, it it a special image-preset or viewer that I need? Its important that the url is accessable by a AEM-User.

Hi All,I have a folder structure a shown below /Content/dam/content/dam/Common/Content/dam/FolderA/Common/Content/dam/FolderB/Common I dont want duplicate the content/images of Common DAM folder under Folder A and Folder B I tried creating a nt:/linkedfile and jcr:Reference etc... but nothing worked. Is there any solution to link one folder to another folder in AEM DAM.Please suggest

I have the following logic in a WorkflowProcess:String addFileUrl = _apiUrl + "File/AddFileToItem"; HttpPost post = new HttpPost(addFileUrl); post.setHeader(HttpHeaders.AUTHORIZATION, "Bearer " + _accessToken); // Build the multi-part request entity MultipartEntityBuilder builder = MultipartEntityBuilder.create(); builder.addTextBody("itemNumber", itemNumber); if(revision != null && StringUtils.isNotEmpty(revision)) builder.addTextBody("revision", revision); builder.addTextBody("qualifier", qualifier); builder.addTextBody("attribute", attributeName); InputStream dataStream = null; log.info("Payload: " + payload.toString()); if (payload != null) { log.info("Payload exists as an asset"); dataStream = payload.getOriginal().getStream(); } if(dataStream != null) { try

We use AEM DAM cloud service. I would like to limit users in the DAM to only view, download, share.  I have two questions on this topic: 1. Does anyone know best practice on how to clean up your Groups? We have a ton of groups; some have 50 users, and some have 1 user.  2. How do you edit Group and User permissions?     -I tried going to Tools>Security>Groups> Clicking on a Group but all that shows me is what members are in there. I was hoping it would allow me to edit a group to view/read only access.   Thanks!

Hi I am looking for references or documentation to integrate AEM Assets into Drupal. Is there any references or documents? is that supported?
