How to share a folder or collection of assets to non-aem assets users with no download ability

Hello

We have a new use case for AEM Assets, 6.5.20.0.

We want to share a Folder OR a Collection of assets to non-aem users for selecting assets by filename.  What is the best way to achieve this?

When we try to share a Collection it still allows the ability to download the renditions, which we do not want.

Thank you.

Sue

Hi,

You can use the 'Share Link' option. I'm not sure if you can truly disable the "download" option, but you can try removing the ACLs for the anonymous user. However, the reality is that if you share an asset, anyone can right-click and select "Save image as." I believe this is the recommended approach for AEM on-premise. There may be other options to share assets, but not out-of-the-box for AEM assets.
